​Rules of Hostel Allotment

1. As resolved in the meeting of all the warden held on 17.07.2020 at 11.00 AM


complete renovation/ maintenance work is going to start shortly by CPWD in the
Malviya Hostel. Therefore only new wing of Malviya Hostel will be allotted to the
students for the academic session 2020-21. Accordingly all B.Tech students (Boys)
will be allotted double seated rooms in different hostels.
2. All B.Tech 2​nd ​year boys are required to give preference of roommates of any branch
of 2​nd​year, i,e, choice for group for group are four students for allotment of four seated
rooms in Tagore hostel and double seated rooms in Tilak hostel, Tandon Hostel and
Patel Hostel. The students have to give name in groups of four for Tagore hostel only
and group of two for Tilak, Tandon and Patel Hostel.
3. All B.Tech 3​rd ​year boys have option of rooms in group of two for Patel Hostel, Tilak
Hostel and Tandon Hostel. They are required to give preference of hostels and
roommates of any branch form 3​rd​year.
4. All B.Tech Final year boys are required to provide the preference of their hostel in
group of two among Malviya (only New wings), Tandon, Tilak and Patel Hostel.
5. All MCA 2​nd​year boys are required to give preference for the choice of roommates of
same year for allotment of double seated rooms in Tilak Hostel.
6. All MCA 3​rd​year M.Tech 2​nd​year , MBA 2​nd​year, M.Sc 2​nd​year boys are required to
give preference for the choice of roommates of same year for the allotment of double
seated rooms in P.G. Hostel.
7. Students are required to use the portal to provide their choice during ​August 13, 2020
to August 24, 2020. After the last date of choice filling, the portal will be closed for
choice submission. Students can know their final allotted room by logging on to the
portal after the final allotment procedure has been successfully completed. The final
allotment will be notified on August 30​th​ 2020.
8. All the students who are unable to successfully submit a room request on the portal
till the last date will be allotted rooms randomly in any hostel, on availability.
9. Those students who are debarred from the hostel by the Chief Warden/ Warden or
Proctorial Board will not be considered for allotment of the rooms. These students are
strictly advised not to give their preference; otherwise strict disciplinary action will be
initiated against them on availability.
10. Final allotment of the rooms will be done by the hostel administration.
11. The student who wish to convert their status from day scholar to hosteller must get
due permission from Chief Warden Office before doing registration for odd semester.
The current day scholars cannot use the choice filling portal.
12. Preference of allotment of hostel/rooms will be on the basis of average CPI of the
group.
13. Regarding the matters of hostel/room allotment, decision of Chief Warden (Boys) for
boys hostel and Chief Warden (Girls) for girls hostel will be final.
14. For allotment of Girls students separate notification will be done by the Chief Warden
(Girls).
