National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is an apex R&D institution in the field Solar
Energy under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). NISE has been
carrying out R&D activities for the development of innovative products for efficient
utilization of solar energy such as cooling, drying, heating and water purification etc.
NISE has developed innovative technologies that can benefit to the millions in the
country and offers for collaboration to the interested industry, start-ups for their
commercial applications.
Solar Powered Cold Storage
 Ensure 24 x 7 operation with thermal storage system
 Suitable for storing vegetables, fruits, flowers, poultry products etc.
 Beneficial to farmers, vegetable & fruits growers
Solar Powered Bulk Milk Cooler
 Ensure 24 x 7 operation with thermal storage system
 Suitable for storing milk at milk collection centers
 Beneficial to the milk cooperatives, diaries, milk processing centers
Solar Dryer cum Space Heating System
 Used for drying of variety of agricultural and horticulture products
fruits, spices and space heating application
 Beneficial to the farmers, fruits & vegetables growers
 Improves the self life of products and increase the farmer's income
Solar Water Purification System
 Provides clean drinking water using RO /water filter
 Beneficial to the Hospitals, office complexes, community
applications and remote locations
 Available in various capacities

A webinar highlighting these innovative technologies will be held on July 31, 2020, from 11:00
