Farewell Message
Dear Parents
Greetings from Olive International School!
It is with mixed emotions that I write my last principal’s message. I would like to bid adieu to all of you
with whom I had the privilege of meeting and working with over past four years. As we gear up for the
onset of every new Academic Year, it has been gratifying to note, that as a result of our holistic approach
to education, our diversely talented students have benefitted in terms of general wellbeing and greater
participation.
Olive has always overcome all challenges on its pursuit towards excellence and has stood upright,
throughout its development. Olive’s growth is marked as almost a vertical progress within 6 years’ time,
from its infant-stage in 2014 to the developing stage, in 2020. Apparently, in this new Academic Year,
it has geared up every resources to face the challenge to embark on amidst all the inconsistencies and
confusions caused by the Pandemic. This could not have been possible without your cooperation and
support with us and have played a vital role to keep the spirit of the young learners at home.As parents I
would like you to let your child struggle through the difficulties of life and develop the essential skills
and resilience that will help them navigate their future.
For me, this school has been close to my heart. During my tenure we have implemented so many

Besides these initiatives / best practices, we also emphasized the importance of sharing, supporting each
other, looking for positive learning opportunities for everyone, and collaborating with the whole school
community to embrace Outcome Based Education.

I am deeply indebted to both my Vice Principals and headmistresses of all 5 campuses for their
commitment, hard work and dedication in striving to achieve the mission and vision of the school.
I am very proud and fortunate of the faculty both teaching and non-teaching staff of Olive and I know
that they will continue working hard to provide high quality education for your children Our Support
staff has been the backbone of our Institution in its day to day functioning . My heartfelt thanks to them.
I am very confident in the ability of the management to lead the school to greater heights and ensure that
conducive learning environment is nurtured for our children. It has been a privilege to be a leader of such
a vibrant school. I look forward to watching the success and growth of Olive International School as it
moves forward.
I will always cherish the time spent at this school learning with all of you!
Thank you for your on-going support and cooperation. I will miss my children and will always treasure
the many fond memories of them.

Let me share a message I received a few days ago. It is about a Journey. Life is like a journey on a train
with its stations, with changes of routes and with accidents. We board this train when we are born and
our parents are the ones who get our ticket. We believe they will always travel on this train with us.
However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey. As time goes
by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant, our siblings, friends, children
and even the love of our life. Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our
lives. Many will go so unnoticed that we won’t even know when they vacated their seats and got off the
train. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good byes and farewells.

A good journey is helping, loving, having a good relationship with all co passengers, and making sure
that we give our best to make their journey comfortable. The mystery of this fabulous journey is we do
not know at which station we ourselves are going to get off. So we must live in the best way, adjust,
forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have. It is important to do this because when the time comes
for us to leave our seats we should leave –get off leaving behind beautiful memories for those who will
continue to travel on the train of life.

Thank you for being one of the important passengers on my train. Don’t know when my station will
come, don't want to miss saying Thank you. Thank you all for being part of this beautiful journey.

A message to my dear students go forth and embrace your future with open arms, and enthusiastically
pursue your own life- journey of discovery ,render dedicated service to humanity and live a happy and
peaceful life.

I would like to introduce Mr. Jackson who will be The Acting Principal. He has vast experiences as a
leader. I know you will make him feel welcome and would unconditionally support him. Students, always
remember ‘Freedom is the unlimited power to do good ’.
