Limited. This report is the result of the knowledge which has been acquired
from the respective course.

is mainly based on Internet information. Some other details were gathered from

Introduction

DCIT Limited is a well renowned IT Company which is located in the heart of


Dhaka. They are very experienced in developing quality software, providing

domain and hosting services, IT services, Website design and development,
consulting etc.
They are also at home in developing complex ERP systems, inventory
management system, home automation and cyber security. They have some
enthusiastic employees who are very determined to ensure quality product and
to ensure customer satisfaction.

Profile

DCIT has grown with time and is being updating itself with the ever changing
scenario of the technology enhancement and always keeps a focus on updated
technology and tools. The growth of the organization followed the path of
getting used to rising Web development needs and solution services in any
arena of domestic corporate and International conglomerate which is the
integral part of our development planning. DCIT, one of the first generation
Web solution service house of Bangladesh, thus survived the test of time and
earned experience, institutional strength and a management system which is
perfect to understand and interact with any kind of client including government,
bilateral even multilateral and also non-governmental bodies and agencies to
understand the specific IT needs specially Web functionality and Management
Information System (MIS) and contribute to development approaches,
implementation and priorities through associating ourselves once and for all
with the stages and method of need-driven spheres of IT innovation activities.

Rationale of strategic training program on Communication and


Business Management Skills

The term training means the process of educating certain candidates within an
organization with the goal of changing them as per the needs of the same as
well as changing the working environment in the same. In an organizational
context, development can be defined as an activity where employees keep
getting better in various stages that happen to be integrated into nature. This is
achieved by way of various developmental tasks, relationships, and activities.

Improvement in worker performance:


Training and development, however, also goes on to amplify your strengths
and acquire new skill sets. It is important for a company to break down the
training and development needs to target relevant individuals.
Increased productivity:
DCIT Limited has own technology to develop the product. Productivity is not
only dependent on employees, but also on the technology they use. Training
and development goes a long way in getting employees up to date with new
technology and methodology. Proper training and development program on
communication and business management will increase the productivity of the
employees and they will be able to bring the best in business.

Self driven:

Employees who have attended the right trainings need lesser supervision and
guidance. Training develops necessary skill sets in employees and enables them
to address tasks independently. This also allows supervisors and management to
focus on more pressing areas.
Employee potential:
Most of the companies overlook the hidden talent of their employees, Training
and development provides a catalytic platform for employees to share their
ideas with management. It has been proved that employees want to grow their
skills and want to see them on higher positions but due to lacking of
communication skill and business management skill, they can’t touch their
dream.

Objectives of developing training program On Communication and


Business Management skills
Communication and Business management skills are a crying need to enhance
the business productivity. Maximum IT firms don’t have proper business
management skills because they think only doing good programming will give
them success but they are wrong. There is a saying that Everything is about
business. Although you develop a nice software, it will not be called success
unless it makes some money.
1. Communication with Customers: DCIT Limited works with different kinds
of customers. They have different kinds of objectives, different point of view,
different culture. So, they need proper communication skills to communicate
with their potential customers. Without getting proper training, they would not
be able to convince the customers.
2. Increasing productivity: Training and development directly improves
efficiency and productivity of employees. Employees remain up to date with

new technology and thus use existing ones in a better way. Well trained
employees show both quantity and quality performance. There is less wastage
of time, money and resources when employees are properly.
3. Job satisfaction: Training and development makes the employees feel more
satisfied with the role they play in the company or organization. This is driven
by the great ability they gain to execute their duties. They feel they belong to
the company or the organization that they work for and the only way to reward
it is giving the best services they can
4. Utilization of Resources: Proper use of resources is a key factor to make
profit from any kind of business. Although you have huge resources, you’ll not
able to use them without proper business management skills.
5. Negotiation Power: DCIT Limited is a renowned IT firm which has various
diverse fields and they need effective communication to run their daily
activities. Proper training on Communication and Business management skills
will increase the negotiation power of the employees.
Limitations:
The main objective of this report is to evaluate the training and development
program of DCIT Limited and other objectives include:
1. Company does not give me the total information.
2. As a permanent employee I only gather information from inside the
company.
3. Take a long time for getting information.
4. As a big company it is very hard to get much time from each employee.

Primary and secondary. Primary data was collected by team members from
DCIT Limited and secondary data that was collected from books, journals,
articles and official website of maxim DCIT Limited.

Observation: Observing the actual practice of Human Resources Training
Process of the company.
Survey: Interviewing officials and executives involved in this organization.
Face to face Conversation with respective officers of the organization

Training and design process consists of seven steps:

1. Conducting Need assessment


2. Ensure employee readiness
3. Creating learning environment
4. Ensure transfer of training
5. Development and evaluation of plan
6. Select training method
7. Monitoring and evaluating training program

1. Conducting Need assessment:

At first step, we determined the need of training program of the employees at


DCIT Limited. Conducting some surveys and researches we came to the
conclusion that training program can be beneficial for employees in terms of the
following:

 Communication with customers.

 Increasing productivity
 Job satisfaction
 Utilization of resources.
 Increasing negotiation power

2. Ensure employee readiness:


After conducting primary assessment, employees need to be informed that they
will go through some training program so that they can give some time to make
themselves prepare for the training program.

3. Creating learning environment:

The training program will be conducted in several segments i.e. training to

communicate to customers, training to improve productivity, to increase

negotiation power, to improve business management skill. Different employees

from different department will be selected for this training program. It needs to

make sure that a certain environment will be created so that all employees can

learn from their training program.

4. Develop and evaluation of plan:

This step involves developing on the design and creates training materials,

training manuals, and training notes for the instructor, PowerPoint

presentations, charts, posters and other materials for hands-on practical

sessions.

Depending on the objectives and goals of training program, we have selected

the following training methods-

1. On-Job Training: This will be chosen for workers in development and

management team. They will be instructed how to improve productivity

by effectively using communication and business management skills. It

will help them to understand how to manage a customer and ways to

keep them satisfied.

2. Mentoring: A team of professionals will be assigned for every

department. They will observe everything will try to improve the weak

areas by direct consulting with the responsible person of that

department.

3. Technology based learning: Some technological methods and devices

will be used for general training program. It includes-

 Basic PC-based programs

 Interactive multimedia i.e. projector

 Interactive video

 Web-based training programs

7. Monitoring and evaluation of training program:

After completing the training program, the whole process will be monitored and

will be evaluated. The evaluation process will follow-

1.Employee Feedback:

Our team will get employee feedback about the program. Was it

informative, helpful and riveting? Do they have any suggestions to make it

better? Collecting this kind of feedback from employees who participate in

training sessions will help to come up with new and improved training

program versions.

2. Employee Assessment:

This would be done during the training sessions. Evaluate how much

employees have actually understood about the training. This can be done

using mini Speaking contest, practical exercises, etc. In brief, it needs to

make sure they are aware of the training objective and the process to

achieve it.

3. Program Assessment:

After training, employees report back to work, conduct on the job

evaluation of the training program to measure its effectiveness in achieving

the objectives. Communication and Business management skill enhance

program’s efficiency will be assessed carefully.

Conclusion

Providing training on Communication and Business Management Skill allows


employees to get greater understand the impact of their role has on the
organization. Employees then become more efficient and better equipped to
deal effectively with customers and stake holders. Communication and
Business Management program focus on improving communication, listening,
management and organizational skills. Training employees on the same set of
competencies gives them a standard process to deal with customers and creates

a sense of team spirit. Improving the quality of your communication and
management through training leads to an increase in customer satisfaction,
retention and loyalty. Through effective training, employees increase their
ability to resolve issues and decrease the number of complains. Quality
Communication and Business Management training allows the company to
achieve higher customer retention, the acquisition of new customers, reduced
employee turnover and increased profit. The training has a great impact on
employee motivation and morale, which leads to increased productivity.
Through the Communication and Business Management training help
employees come together to achieve a common goal, which is to satisfy the
customer. And Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. always focus on these issues, and try to
arrange some effective training programs like customer service training
program to achieve their strategic goals.
