RESEARCH RESENTAION
SAS 2020 – 21 BY MR SULLIVAN
TAKE ON THE ROLE OF AN EXPERT
PERFORMANCE TASK: You are to take-on the role of an expert in
your chosen production role. Imagine you are talking to a group of
students who are new to theatre. Give a presentation and include
visuals to explain your role and how at least two TTG’s are
important for your to make creativity flourish.

1. Choose your Production Area. Choose an area of Theatre


Design you wish to explore for your research presentation (eg
Set Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Costume, Make-
up/Hair, Stage Management)
2. Question List – Make a list of questions you want to find out
about your production area. With these questions display them
in a collage/poster. Post your poster around the classroom
wall. Have your peers read your questions and add using post-
it-notes have them add questions.
3. Compile a list of at least 10 resources. You will need a
combination of websites, videos, books and articles.
4. Order your questions from most important to least. Try to
group similar questions together. Cite your sources in a
bibliography using MLA formatting.
5. Choose two TTG’s your see as most important to
6. Use your resources to take notes so that you answer your
questions.
7. Create slides to assist your presentation.
8. Present in front of an audience.
