HOUSES IN ASTROLOGY

Houses in astrology as opposed to Zodiac signs. ZS are fixed divisions of the ecliptic, referring
to the anual cicle. And the houses are divisions of the daily cicle. That's why the time when you
were born is so important. The planets in each sign represent what type of energy that is. But the
houses represent what sphere of lyfe this energy is gonna express itself in. Each of the houses
governs some areas of the individual's life. If you have a lot of planets in one of the houses, this
means that a lot of your inherent energy will be focused on this aspect of life. The houses also let
you know where your focus needs to be in order to fulfill your destiny.
There are many systems of houses in astrology, including the equal-houses system, but the most
popular one is Placidus system of houses. The planets that «inhabit» these houses (the planets
that were in specific places of your chart at the exact time that you were born) channel their
energy in order to make you who you really are.
The first house starts at «nine o'clock», where the ascendent is.

ASCENDANT (RISING SIGN, I HOUSE)

Capricorn rising – amplifies all of your negative traits and makes you arrogant about it. They
assume that they are the smartest in the world. At least, everybody thinks you are arrogant. You
see yourself as a tactful, smart, ambitious, logical, strong, not manipulative, nobody will change
it, you think. But nobody thinks like you do and nobody wants to be around you. You see
everybody like winy, cause you did everything on your own, you made yourself, and others, you
think, complain all the time, they are just helpless, you think. You are not there with people. You
work hard, go strong, but others don't appreciate that, cause you look arrogant.
Gemini rising – you look way too self-explanatory. You interact very well with people, expert
manipulator, expert communicator, a talker, love to be the center in a social circle, want to please
the people around you and you are good at making it all work. You're likeable, you're storyteller.
People think that you talk too much, that you're manipulator. You think that others are too hard
to follow, and you are like quite to the point. So you take on the role of the talker, of the funny
one, of the one to please others. You need for yourself to be the communicator for all. Quick-
tempered, not thoughtful (people will think so).
Virgo rising – analytical, logical, smart, hate stupidity, organizational, task-oriented, hate wishy-
washiness, structural. You assume that you're the only one who can take care of things, and
because of this you take on everything. You do not expect anybody else to be able to take on
things, you don't expect them to be better, you think you're the only one who can do ir. But
sometimes you just have to let go, dude… You work very hard at mantaining their bodies, they
can be vegans (picky, researched), they are punctual (if you're not, they are pissed off). You need
to let others be themselves. You want to be seen as in control. Constantly holding all the
information. They will structure others, want to fix people and fall for those who they want to
fix. The helpers, never say no, want to help structure you and do the things that you can't do. Are
afraid to be wishy-washy. Take on way too much responsibility. You need to find somebody to
help you relax and be happy and not do things all the time.
Libra rising – you take that boundle of joy that is Sun in Libra and that is how you interact with
people. //Imagine that you are a bad person, and nobody will ever notice// You have no idea how
to interact with people, so they charm and get tired then of hanging out with people. So you
begin doing smth to get yourself out of this social environment, cause you give, give, give, but
that is not who you are inside, that's your mask. You're stylish, cause you have to be (nice house,
nice things), cause it makes you liked. You are ready to accept people, so sometimes you accept
the wrong kind of people, you don't want to say no to people. You imagine that others are so bad
to you, that others don't do enough for you, but that is only because you get so quickly so tired
doing things to others, so you think that you do so much more. When you become reclusive, they
feel guilty. You never want to confront, to deal with difficul situations, you want to push away
the bad things, you should learn to confront difficult situations and should learn to get things
done.
Scorpio rising – others either love you or hate you, there is no inbetween. So you often have
troubles growing with dealing with the fact that there's such a harsh reaction. So you even go
outgoing and often or reclusive and weird. You're polarising, you don't like giving off all the
information. You want to appear different. You're detectives at sorts, you read between the lines
when someone's talking and try to get what they really wanted to say, so sometimes you are
over-personal with people that you don't know, you are sometimes intrusive, and others don't like
it. You feel intuitive, psychological in-depth is their quality. You often come across as immature
and arrogant (like «you're wrong and I'm not telling you why, cause you're too stupid to figure it
out on your own»), like you have child-like behaviour, not up-front with your information. You
may be up-front, cause you're just rising and Scorpio is not in your house, but you're rising, so
you will come across to people like that. You want to be able to control your environment.
You're intuituve, so you kinda know what's gonna happen next. You don't want to be put inside a

You're serious and it's hard for you to take jokes at first, you're not listening to the sarcasm, you
try to read between the lines. So you start generilising. You're private, guarded. Your descendant
falls in Taurus, so you see everybody else as stubborn, lazy, close-minded. You feel like you
bring so much to the table, cause everybody around you is lazy. So you act with a lot of
contempt for the population (like “nobody does it the way that I do”). You should learn to let go
and to let others drive the train once in a while.
Cancer rising – you slow down conversation. You put your nuturious spine on everthing. You
come across really motherly, but it depends on your sign if your are stereotypical mothers or not.
You are not a push-over, but sometimes you come across as that (people misjudge you). You
fight very hard for the things you believe in, in a quiet way, you don't let things go easily. You
make others feel like home, warm, like they've known you their whole life. You feel like you are
very loving. You feel like everybody around you is so mean, so rude, and you don't understand
that. You want to bring the family together. You spend so much time wanting to care about other
people. You should learn to be more structured, to find your own identity and not the identity
that's in other people. You should learn to be a little selfish and get yourself into public life,
experience that and be okay with that.
Leo rising – you love pleasure, you love talking to people, you surround yourself with
pleasureful people. You want to feel that you make a group a group, and you're gonna be proud
of it. Everything is funny to you, is a joke. You're happy-go-lucky, and everybody is like «that
person is a funny person, I love that person». People are gonna like you and be attracted to you
and want to be your friends. You're a space-hug, creativity-hug, look-at-me, love-me. You
assume that you're the only one happy, having fun and the others like judge you and are weird.
You should learn to work harder for the things that you desire, and not only talk about it.
Taurus rising – you're all about moving slow. You're resistant to change, to move forward, you're
slow, steady. You don't give off a lot of your personality, but you are often charming. Often you
get burnt out by people, kinda like Libra rising (both ruled by Venus). You're naturally give off a
charming, good-natured, sweet vibe. You want to be on the comfort of your own home, relaxing.
You have a sence of style, but really comfortable style. You love comfortable things, anything to
make your life sweet. You don't like spontaneousity, you want to just do your thing. You feel
that you are the nice, right, not complex one, like you understand everybody and everybody
should understand what you're thinking, but everybody else is a psychopath. You expect others
to just not be as smart as you are. You sometimes get very self-rageous (like Libra), like I'm fine
and nice, like I might not speak very often, but when I do, it's profound. You think you're right.
You come off as very down to earth, you're not polarising (в отличие от Скорпионов, которых

You’re not up-in-other’s-face. You hope that shit goes away. You will come across as hard,
cause you don’t want others to crack you and you feel like others often try to crack you. You

on the earth and not be crazy (as Scorpio), because if you don’t, the world will fall apart. You’re
stubborn as shit and you’re often a crack-pot. You should learn to face your discomfort, go out
there and fight for your right to do what you wanna do, to change, to do something spontaneous.
You often don’t want to end relationship, unless you’re single; then you don’t want to change
your singleness and will end your relationship really quick before you can get to grounded in it.
You’re prown to getting weight, and it’s hard for you to lose it, cause you get sad in that way,
like slow, steady waking “dude, I’m fat”.
Aquarius rising – you’re sociable and sweet, but also very smart-sounding. Everything you say
sounds genius. You’re personable, nice, smart, generous, good with your time, creative, an old
soul. You always speak the truth and if you don’t know the truth, you’re gonna speak as it is
truth. Sometimes you seem a bit opinionated, a bit too cold, cause if others say smth that you
don’t agree with, you’re gonna be like “mm, that’s not gonna work, I pretty much figured it out
myself”. You are stubborn in the way that you speak and in the knowledge that you have. Others
may assume that you’re weird. You’re like quorky, and sometimes people don’t like that. SO
you may seem inaffective in the things that you say. You can be alienated, people can push you
away. You strive to live in a world that doesn’t exist, you don’t wanna be a part of the
mainstream, you wanna be different, you’re looking for different ways to be in the world, and
because of that you need to stay apart and alone a lot of time. You often go to your own inner
world, so you tend to have a few close people around you. You understand your friends and you
want to be a part of something, but you want to be understood too. You feel like if you’ve spent
so much time on somebody, you probably should just stay with this person. It feels like you hold
auditions for your new friends. You see yourself very open-minded, so when you’re talking to
people, you feel like you’re giving across your opinion that you know to be true, but you also
will listen, if others lead you to another point of view. You’re affective communicators. You
wanna look good, but if you spend more than 30 minutes on your look, you feel like you’ve
wasted your valuable time on yourself. You see others as Leos, as if they were too vain and paid
too much attention to the stupid little crap going on. You are big-pictured. You assume that
you’re the only one who gives a shit about what’s going on in the world. You should learn to let
lose and have fun (get drunk), you should enjoy just having good time with people.
Sagittarius rising – it feels like you’re not present in the conversation (blue, crystal, penetrating
eyes). You travel, including in your mind, you collect experience. You learn new things, go to
school, have million degrees. You want to attack situations, know a lot, collect a lot of
knowledge, but you’re not communicating with the people in front of you. You see people as
immature, stupid, talk too much, don’t listen, are shallow. But you don’t see yourself as shallow,
you see yourself as an ocean of knowledge, ideas, adventure and excitement. And that’s what
you want your life to be like. But most of the time people see you as boring, loof and naive,
cause you do not connect with people, your ideas are too broad. You want to expand your mind,
not play stupid childish games, even being kids. You may be attractive and famous (Jupiter –
luck and fortune). You see yourself as ambitious. You’re kind, generous, have a big, open heart,
cause you don’t really worry about trivial things. You’re not famous, cause you desire fame, but
you’re driven by yourself and that makes you famous, makes you win, succeed and achieve.
You’re genuinely nice, you really want to be a well-grounded, good-natured, happy person. You
get happy by collecting adventures.
Pisces rising – you become whatever others want. Let’s make an example. You like a boy, who’s
an amazing skateboarder. You can’t skateboard at all, but you want him to know that you’re also
an amazing skateboarder, so you dress like you skate. A Pisces thing is confusing, like who am I,
what am I, where am I. You become everybody else, and that’s why you don’t know who you
are. You’re seen whatever you subconscience wants to be seen as. Cause you’re creative,
spiritual, empathetic, understanding, intuitive, you identify with everybody. You can almost
become this other person. You assume everybody else is like Virgo, boring, work too hard,
logical, analytical. It pisses you off that others can’t understand that they don’t have to
act/talk/think smart all the time, that we all have something to bring to the table, not just because
we speak smart. Most of you get really hangover. You have no structure, you’re completely
illogical, everything you do is based on your gut feeling. You can feel energy, negative and
positive. You dream a lot. You need to structure yourself, you need to understand that you are
coming across the way that people are treating you, the vibes you’re putting off actually affect
you more than anybody else. If people treat you like a dumb, that’s because you said you’re
dumb. You walk through this world wearing rose-colored glasses and you lose yourself.
Aries rising – you are generally really friendly. You seem to know yourself a little bit more than
other people (I house) and you don’t seem to worry as much about what others think of you.
Most people like you. You’re often attracted to Libras, cause it’s on your descendant side, but
because of that you also see others as Libras, flacky, wishy-washy, indecisive, which you don’t
like. You’re very decisive, opinionative and do things on your own. You do things for yourself,
by yourself (I house ruler), so you often come across as selfish. You take charge, you’re a
warrior, ambitious, you go and do it, not thinking a lot necessarily, you make great leaders.
Sometimes you come across as not so fair, cause you follow your gut. With others you often
stumb all over, cause you don’t think about the feelings of others first, don’t think that there are
others that also have an opinion. You seem like you know what you’re talking about, you can
even be able to manipulate sometimes. You’re a work-hard-play-hard type of person. You’re
gonna earn that money to waste it on fun. You get bored easily and you want fun, pleasure. You
want to protect yourself from bad things and that is why you try to surround yourself by good,
pleasant things. Sometimes you come across as simple, not so deep, but it’s just because you
don’t show it, cause you just wanna get things done. People judge you for the way that you are,
but you normally don’t really care, cause you put yourself first. You know what you are and you
know what to do to make your work done, what to do to lead the life that others will respect and
what to do to move up your business. You don’t like to be touched.

I HOUSE – it's represented by Aries. The ascendant, the risign sign, rules the I house, takes
control of it. The rising sign is whatever that was on the East of horizon the time you were born.
When you're born, you get your 1st house cusp.
There can also be an Aries INTERCEPTION in the I house – when Aries does not rule over the I
house (cause my Scorpio does) and just hanging out there being lame.
If you have planets in your I house, each one of them stays with your ascendant sign. Mars
usually activates the house, Venus makes you seem attractive, Neptune makes others project
themselves on you, Sun makes you love yourself, be confident, strong, ambitious and brave,
Saturn makes you not able to express yourself and makes you have karmic restrictions.
When you are born, you start from the I house.
Is all about SELF. How you view the world. Everything about the emotional memories affect the
I house. It's a me-focused house, your identity, your desires and going after that. The body,
health, vitility, appearance. Fame, everybody looking at you. The destiny=the reason why I'm
born, why am I born as a Scorpio ascendant (something to do with the VIII house is the reason
why I'm born). The way you present yourself to people, what you want to show people.
II – ruled by Taurus. Money, security, posessions, how you make money and how you deal with
it, your self-esteem, how you think about yourself. How to build comfortable surroundings.
III – ruled by Gemini. Communication around you, short journeys, discussing things,
technology, negotiations, broadcasting, getting your voice heard, expressing yourself,
communicating your ideas out into the world.
IV – ruled by Cancer. Foundational house, home, roots, family, ideas and beliefs formulated in
your childhood, emotional security. A lot of planets – the influence of the family on your life.
V – ruled by Leo. Children, romance, creativity, sports, acting, self-employment, fun,
recreational activities, whatever you do to be creative, whatever you do that makes you happy,
playfulness.
VI – ruled by Virgo. Work, health, service to others, daily routine, focus on the details, thinking,
taking care of business, of people. Beginning from this house, it's reaching out to other people.
VII – Libra. Commited relationship, partnership (business too), marriage, forming of the
agreements. Wanting to operate not alone.
VIII – Scorpio. Psychology, other people's money, insurance, banks. How others feel about you.
Deep, hidden, below the surface things, intimacy and how you handle it, getting closer to others,
fears, death and rebirth, karma, mystery, transformation.
IX – Sagittarius. Optimistic house, travel, religion, spirituality, meaning in life, what gives a life
meaning to you. Something international. Expansion of mind, embracing other cultures. Fame
and wealth, out-there energy.
X – Capricorn. Career, purposes of the lifetime, status, the top of the chart (the Sun is shining the
brightest when you are born), ambition, how you are being seen, reputation. Structure,
competention.
XI – Aquarius. Friends, beliefs, brotherhood. teams, humanitarian house. How you bring your
creative energy into the world, innovation, trying new things, future-thinking, thinking outside of
the box, the larger network with people around the world.
XII – Pisces. Thing's that are done secret, privacy. Psychic house, intuition, where you find your
inner strengh, where you really are alone, dreams, ideals, desilution, higher energies,
subconscience, hardships (burdance that have been put on you). Institutions like hospitals or
prisons. Spiritually gifted being, psychic.
