First day of Immersion
It was February 4, 2019. The day I started as an official trainee at the City Disaster Risk
Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO). An employee that gave us the authority to call her
Ma’am Nat-nat did an orientation about the department. Before that, she let us introduced
ourselves one-by-one. She also introduced the other employees to us.
In the afternoon, Ma’am Nat-nat, together with the OJTs from Bukidnon State University
(BSU) lectured on important things that we have to know about; Earthquake, Flood & Landslide.
                                   Second day of Immersion
On the second day of the Immersion, an employee named Jeron taught us how to use a
printer and we were able to learn it. Eventually, Sir Jeron let us print posters of ‘Flood’ and we
were able to make 500 copies of it.
                                    Third day of Immersion
On the third day of the immersion, two college OJTs gave us a discussion about ‘First
Aid’ and ‘Bandaging’. They taught and let us demonstrate the proper way of treating an ill
patient, as well as patient with fractured bones and dislocated bones.
                                  Fourth day of the Immersion
On the fourth day of the Immersion, an employee named Jeron taught us how to use a
printer and we were able to learn it. Eventually, Sir Jeron let us print posters of ‘Earthquake’ and
we were able to make 500 copies of it.
                                   Fifth day of the Immersion
On the fifth day of the immersion, since we were not able to finish on the proper
demonstration of Bandaging, we continue on it.
                                   Sixth day of the Immersion
On the sixth day of the Immersion, an employee named Jeron taught us how to use a
printer and we were able to learn it. Eventually, Sir Jeron let us print posters of ‘Landslide’ and
we were able to make 500 copies of it.
                                Seventh day of the Immersion
On the seventh day of the immersion, we proceed on the other topic which is the
‘Splinting’. Of all we did, I think that was the hardest. Maybe it’s because it required not just
bandage but also splint. It also takes more effort than the other.
                                 Eightth day of the Immersion
On the 8th day of the immersion, we moved on and taught of the ‘Basic Types of Carries’.
                                 Last day of the Immersion
On the last day of the immersion, Sir Jeron ask us to go downstairs and joint the other
employees. They were having a surprise despidida party for one of their co-worker. They were
crying, giving farewell messages, and all. After so much drama, everyone enjoys the food
together.
