Vision

“Maximizing teamwork skills in our course work to excel in our professional careers.”

Mission

We are a diverse group of aspiring professionals, intending to develop leadership skills to learn
to become more efficient in satisfying and producing human relationships, despite our
circumstances of the world. We are here to collaborate techniques to innovate and become
leaders of influence for a multitude of cultures. By implementing team building skills, we set
goals to better ourselves, our co-workers and our personal relationships. We can ensure that we
reach our team vision by course completion through continuous motivation and strict time
management.

Goals

1. Proficiency in remote management


Strategy:
 Meet virtually with all team members 1-2 times per week

 Email or text members with updates on any schedule conflicts in advance when possible
 Listen to each team members ideas with an open mind
 Read assignments and come prepared with questions/suggestions before team meetings
 Team members able to openly discuss different ideas without bias
 Ease of the use of technology by the end of the semester for remote learning
Metric:

 All members will be in attendance for 90% of meetings held on Blackboard Collaborate
 Meetings minutes and agendas will be posted with every meeting via team webpage

2. Improving our adaptability and flexibility with change


Strategy:
 Explore different avenues to reach goals
 Make necessary adjustments for the better of the team
 Set goals that can be reached
 Responding to the demands of changes with confidence
 Accomplishing the set goals, then setting new goals
 Learning to adapt to the pressures of a constant changing world
Metric:

 All members will be in attendance for 90% of meetings held on Blackboard Collaborate
 All team members will notify the group within 1 hour of the meeting if they cannot attend

3. Development of leadership skills


Strategy:
 Positive attitude towards team members ideas/suggestions
 Take the time to get to know each team member as an individual
 Stay on schedule
 Ensure entire team understands the desired outcome
 Establishing roles and responsibilities
 Provide support when needed
Metric:

 Take surveys at the beginning and end of projects

 Successful class completion with all team members obtaining an overall grade of 90% or
better

 Provides a comprehensive agenda, via team website, prior to each meeting
 Organizes and assigns tasks for group projects
 Oversight of project progress

Scribe – Helen Moninghoff


 Keeps a running document of group meeting discussions and conversations
 Manages and initiates formal communications related to group (i.e. emails)
 Provides a meetings minutes, via team website, within 24 hours post meeting

Timekeeper/Research Coordinator – Shannon Battle


 Calls meetings to order
 Maintains meeting organization by keeping team on task with the aid of agenda
 Promote time guidelines by stating time spent per agenda item (real time) and ushering
change of topics as appropriate to maintain timeframe of meeting
 Research data as needed for group projects

Facilitator – Twanesha Barnes


 Oversight of group cohesion and functioning
 Designating and initiating group meeting platforms (Blackboard collaborate,
GoogleDrive, In-person, etc…)
 Seeks team feedback when disagreements occur
 Mediates conflicts or opposing ideas to come to a final decision

Editor and Graphics/Presentation Manager – Nicolas Galleguillos


 Edit and revise group projects to ensure optimal end product
 Modify and polish group text, graphics, layouts for virtual/electronic presentation
projects

Ground Rules

Administrative

1. The team will hold virtual meetings twice weekly via Blackboard Collaborate. Meetings
are to occur on Wednesdays at 8pm CST for 1 hour and Sundays at 5pm CST for 30
minutes.
2. All meetings will begin on time, with a final roll call occurring 5 minutes after the
designated start of the meeting.
3. Team members will make reasonable effort to notify team members at least 1 hour in
advance of any expected tardiness or absenteeism, via GroupMe chat.
4. In the event of an absence, the team member will review the Meeting Minutes for the
missed session in a timely manner (preferably within 24 hours) and uphold any
designated task assignments by their originally scheduled deadlines. If there is a
conflict/question regarding discussions/assignments from the missed meeting, the
member will reach out to the team within 24 hours via GroupMe chat.
5. Coordinator is to post a meeting agenda to the team webpage at least 2 hours prior to the
start of the meeting.
6. Scribe will summarize each meeting’s discussions and key decisions via “meetings
minutes” posted to the team webpage within 2 hours of meeting conclusion.
7. Any team member who is unable to fulfil a task obligation will notify ALL team
members via email AND GroupMe chat at least 48 hours in advance of deadline.
8. Progress of the group will be monitored at each week meeting, via discussion and
observation of shared documents. This progress facilitation will be the responsibility of
the coordinator and facilitator with input from all team members.

Task

1. Group decisions will follow a consensus rule model.


2. In the event that a consensus cannot be reached, an anonymous polling method will be
used in which majority rules. Polls are to be organized by the team facilitator and
conducted via GroupMe or Team Webpage.
3. Disagreements are to be handled in a respectful and open-minded manner. No raised
tones or aggressive/curse words will be tolerated. If first occurrence, the team member
will be dismissed from the meeting and shall receive negative review on team survey.
Any further occurrences are grounds for notification to professor and exclusion from
team discussions and assignments.
4. All team members are responsible for arriving prepared to all meetings - having reviewed
the current meeting’s agenda, completed all previously assigned tasks, and are prepared
to meaningfully contribute to discussions and brainstorming.

Interpersonal

1. The team facilitator is responsible for guiding team meetings and encouraging all
members to speak, contribute, and give opinions where necessary.

2. All team members will practice tolerance, kindness, and cultural awareness when
working with teammates.
3. Members are encouraged to voice their opinions, ideas, and concerns in a safe and non-
judgmental environment, free of interruption and/or negativity; While understanding that
respectfully stated constructive criticism and opposing views are a welcome part of group
growth and collaboration.
4. All Quaranteam are required to attend virtual meetings bi-weekly. Agendas are presented
prior to the Blackboard Collaborate meeting; Wednesday 8pm CST and Sunday 5pm
CST.
5. Quaranteam will effectively communicate well in advance of a meeting their expected
attendance. A roll call will be conducted at the start of every meeting. With notice of an
absent Quaranteam member, the facilitator will be responsible for making contact with
the tardy party. How should we handle tardiness?
6. Quaranteam will monitor its progress by evaluating our task and to-do-list at bi-weekly
meeting. We will check off our completions and revisit our upcoming and past due
deliverables. How will we monitor our progress (on both task and process)
