Safety: Fall from height. Ensure safe access to fix the hose from a height of 4M.
Ingress of any objects through the 150 mm dia openning.
Enviornmental Issue: Area to be kept neat & clean.
Prerequisits: LIVE PTW in force. PPE in place.
Class: Normal
Knowledge: Process is known & Equipments are identified as per drawing.
Mind Joggers:Turning Gear should not put "OFF" beforeTurbine shaft temp. become < 100 oC

******* Condenser Hot well (optional) Drained
A) Confirm all above mentioned valves are lined up & no live steam is passing in to
the turbine.
B) Turbine is on Turning gear till Metal temp. is 100 oC.
C) Remove blind flange from top cross over line & keep it in safe place.
Extreame care should be taken so that nothing fall in to the opening.
D) The flexible hose from the Dehumidifier to be connected to the cross over pipe flange.
Ensure safe access to fix the hose.
E) Start Adsorptive Dehumidifier & confirm dry air flow (600m3/hr) to turbine with positive
pressure through out the preservation period. Warm air will escape through the turbine
shaft seal & through the drains to flash tank/ condenser.
Relative humidity of the dry air must never exceed 40%
F) Weekly run TG for 6 hrs. during preservation period.
G) Weekly run Turbine LO purifier for 12hrs.
H) Turbine cont. valves stroking every 3 months.
******* Condenser Hot well can be drained if Boiler is shut down (Req. for emergency make up if BH cond. On reject)
