VACANCIES
The Government of Punjab, Department of Medical Education and Research vide notification no
1/28/2020-4SS3/3893, 3905 & 3917 dated 03.07.2020 has desired that to fight against COVID-19 in state of
Punjab, it requires man power of various category i.e(1) Assistant Professor-02 (Nephrology-01 (UR-01),
Endocrionology-01 (UR-01)) on regular basis for GGSMC&H, Faridkot (2) Law Officer-01 (UR-01) for Office of
DRME, Punjab, Mohali on regular basis (3)Assistant Professor (Anesthesia)-11 (UR-05, SC-03, BC-01, ESM-01,
EWS-01) on Contract basis for GGSMC&H, Faridkot (4)ICU Technician-20 (GMC, Patiala & GGSMC&H, Faridkot)

Salary

Qualification & Experience-
1. & 03 Assistant Professor :
Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized Post Graduate Medical College
as Senior Resident/ Registrar/ Lecturer/ Demonstrator/ Tutor or equivalent or higher teaching
faculty posts after post graduation in the concerned specialty. The Candidates who have done
super-speciality (DM/M.Ch) in concerned speciality shall be directly eligible for post
Assistant Professor. The Candidate who has done DNB which fulfils the equivalent criteria of
MCI for MD/MS/DM/M.Ch shall be considered as meeting the post graduation qualification
requirement.

General terms and conditions:-
1. The application fee
i) For Sr.No. 01 to 3 Rs. 1500/-(Rs 750/- for SC/ST) + 18% GST
ii) For Sr. No. 04 Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- For SC/ST)
2. The posts may be increase or decrease at any stage without citing any reason or not to fill
any or all the posts.

3. Upper Age limit: Age limit (minimum and maximum) calculated as on 01st January
2020.The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age in the case of Assistant
Professor for others post is 37 years. Relaxation in upper age limit as per Punjab Govt.
Rules.
4. For Ex-Serviceman:- Candidates belong to Ex-Serviceman Category shall be
allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of the Union from
his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit
prescribed for direct appointment to such vacancy in the concerned service rules, by
more than 03 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding the age
limit.
5. The applicant after filling online application shll submit hard copy (Printout) of online
application and must accompany self attested copies of certificate for proof of date of birth,
marks sheet, degree, experience, category certificate (if applicable), residence proof etc at
the office of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road, Faridkot
upto 03.08.2020 for posts at Sr no 01 & 02 and 27.07.2020 for posts at Sr. no 03 & 04 upto
05:00 PM.
6. Applicant must possess the requisite qualification by the last date of apply online
application.
7. Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel.
8. For posts Assistant Professor candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language upto
matriculation standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within
six month of joining and for others posts candidate must have pass Punjabi Examination
upto Matriculation or its equivalent.
9. *Salary as per 07th pay commission of Central Government and as per letter no
07/204/2012-4 FP1/66 dated 15.01.2015 and its amendment issued from time to time by
Finance Department (Finance Personal -1Branch) Punjab.
