Students Code of Conduct (CoC) and Social Media Policy
Objective of Proposal
The core objective of this policy is to promote professional and healthy educational culture in KFUEIT where students are
encouraged to play their active part by ensuring strict compliance to set CoC and Social Media Policy.
Application of these CoC and SOPs
The Code of Conduct and policy guidelines defined in this document will be applicable to all students of Khwaja Fareed
University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) Rahim Yar Khan including but not limited to students of BS,
MSc, MS and PhD degree programs.
Code of Conduct (CoC)
DOs:
• Be respectful. Use only courteous and polite language and behave with decorum with the administration,
faculty, staff, students and guests of the University
• Always possess Student Identity Card and CNIC with you
• Always clear dues well in time. Defaulters will be fined
• Be regular and punctual in attending classes and all activities connected with the University
• Keep your campus, classroom, laboratories and hostel room neat and tidy
• Be security conscious and take care of your valuables especially Cash, Mobile Phones and Laptop etc
• During University functions, conduct in such a way as to bring credit to yourselves and to the institution
• Read notices, circulars, instructions displayed on the University Notice Boards, social media and web site and
fol-low them religiously
• Use the resources of University namely library, computers, equipment, transport, medical, communications,
power, etc wisely and effectively
• Vehicles and motorbikes to be parked in allocated places only
• Contacting faculty members, Directorate of Student Affairs or Registrar Office in case of any genuine
complaints, suggestion or confusion
DONTs:
• Defaming or damaging the reputation of University or its employees, making false or unverified accusations
against any member of the University
• Misuse of University name, Logo, corporate identities and branding elements
• Throughing waste, wrappers and other stuff openly damaging campus cleanliness
• Sexual harassment of fellow students and other people including but not limited to sexual advances, sexual
solici-tation, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature
• Playing inside campus buildings and causing disturbance in classes and labs proceedings
• Placing notice or promotional banners other than the designated places
• Use of mobile phones and other gadgets within classrooms, laboratories, libraries, seminar halls and
auditoriums
• Smoking within campus
• Using, possessing or distributing drugs, weapons, alcohol or other contraband items
• Assaulting, harassing, intimidating, or threatening any student, employee or group
• Endangering the health or safety of others
• Stealing, misusing, destroying, defacing or damaging University property or property belonging to someone
else
• Gathering in groups at roads, entrance, exit and pathways
• Disrupting University activities, academics, events, gathering, seminars etc.
• Using University facilities, equipment, services or computers without authorization
• Supplying false information, forging, altering or misusing any University document or record
• Getting involved either directly or indirectly in any form of political, ethnic, sectarian other undesirable
activities either inside or outside the University during period of study
• Circulations of printed, cyclostyled or photocopied material, e-mail, derogatory to any religion, Pakistan, the
pres-tige of University, Armed Forced or any other organization
• Encouraging, aiding, or conspiring in any conduct of hazing; such acts may include but are not limited to, use
of alcohol, creation of excessive fatigue, and paddling, punching or kicking in any form

Social Media SOPs for Students
DOs:
• Joining official social media touchpoints of KFUEIT: Like Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter and staying
con-nected for regular updates and information
• Brand Ambassadors of KFUEIT: Positive image projection of University through social media
• Give positive comments and ideas on KFUEIT promotional initiatives
• Think twice before posting: Privacy does not exist in world of social media. Posts and comments can be saved
and copied and can turn up after years even
• Get the facts straight: Before posting them on social media, review content for grammatical and spelling
errors, especially if posting w.r.t. the University
• Be respectful: your comments or posts have dual edge effects, be careful with tone and selection of words as
words carry different meanings
• Be mindful of your audience: social media can easily be made public at large, including future employees,
student or community, your comments or posts can alienate, harm or provoke anyone
• Communicate and convince positively the ones engaged in violating the social media SOPs and are causing
dam-age to University reputation
DONTs:
• Posting confidential or personal information, such as NIC numbers, cell numbers, address and photographs
of others (especially female faculty & students) without their permission
• Forwarding message and posts without verification and authenticity
• Defaming University, its image, employee’s reputation and other stakeholders of the University
• Posting defamatory posts both in photographic or written form against anyone within the University or
outside the University, commenting on heads/employees of other agencies/organizations
• Using KFUEIT, other university logos, images or iconography for endorsements of any product or idea
promotion that does not pertain to university
• Using social media forums to engage in differences of opinion with respect to professional or organizational
issues or discussing the performance or competence of students or employees
• Political and sectarian posts. Abstain from posting derogatory and defamatory posts or comments against
reli-gious leaders of any sect and leaders of political parties
• Careful joining the supplementary groups or accounts of social media using University name with objective of
adding value for KFUEIT
• Providing official contents to internal or external miscreants directly or indirectly for potential misuse
* Remember, all Municipal, Provincial and Federal Laws apply on campus.

from Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, RYK or any academic institution. I also affirm and
declare that degrees, documents or certificate submitted for admission are genuine/original and not fake or tempered.
