Grounding (Earth) Locations • Engine: Grounding through stud welded to floor

of chassis, just forward of LH (Left Hand) rear
• Cab: Grounding through bolt holding ring engine mount. Cable from this stud extends up
terminals onto floor of the cab below the RH to starter body to ground engine.
(Right Hand) arm rest, just rear of te large round
connectors.
• Chassis: Grounding through bolt into bracket in
belly of machine just forward of clean out door.

Introduction

The ground or earth refers to the reference point in an

electrical circuit from which voltages are measured,
a common return path for electric current, or a
direct physical connection to Earth. Electrical circuits
may be connected to ground or earth to prevent
user contact with dangerous voltage if the electrical
insulation fails.

Earth points can be useful when tracing electrical

faults typically when several electrical devices are
malfunctioning.
