TITLE: The Birth and Growth of the Social Sciences
Introduction: In the development and progress of human knowledge, the social ' sciences
were the last to develop after the natural sciences. And while the origin of social sciences can
be traced back to the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates ,Plato, and Aristotle, their
development as separate fields of knowledge only begun in the modern period.(Collins
1994,p.7).

society?
- it is important because it acknowledge me that all people in a society
don’t take alike or experience reality in the same way.
2. How do the following features (race, gender, religion, class, etc.) affect you in pursuing
your present and future plans? Do they provide opportunities or serve as constraints?
- it affects me in especially in gender because they judge me when I do men
jobs, it also affects me in race features because of my physical appearance.
I am fat, small in height and have brown skin. I always experience bullying
and it affects me really hard. But I still believe that there’s a lot of
opportunities that I will be facing even if this is my appearance.
3. How does government respond to the needs of those people who belong to the same
social location where you are located right now?
- They respond by giving government benefits and they make sure that no one
will suffer the people that they covered.
