6. PROCEDURE
6.1 Preparatory operations
6.1.1. Preparation of appliances, devices, cords, sources of power required for Checks at
the established Cabinets / Panels.
6.1.2. Identify and isolate the work area.
6.1.3. Dust or dirt cleaning of electrical components as well as cable clamps.
6.1.4. Determining the order execution of the measurements.

6.2 Making measurements

6.2.1. The types of measurements required depend on the type and destination of cabinets
or paintings. When performing the measurements, the requirements of the Equipment Factory
Instructions and then those set out in PE 116/94 shall be met first.

6.3 Command-control cabinets test

6.3.1. On the control cabinets / panels the following measurements and checks are made:
a) Measurement of the insulation resistance of the AC and / or DC supply circuits is
done with a 500 V megohmmeter (at least) on each phase with respect to the
mass, as well as between the phases;
b) The insulation resistance of the secondary circuits is measured with the 1000 V
megohmmeter and the minimum value at the PIF must be 5 MΩ;
c) Checking the phasing of the voltage circuits is done with a phasmerer and it is
observed that the phases are in a correct sequence (R, S, T) in accordance with
the source from where they leave;
d) Check the polarity of the DC circuits with a DC tester, checking that they are not
reversed (+) with (-);
e) Verification of current flows is done with a Ditz Pliers. by priming or secondary
current injection and measuring each current circuit in the Panel;
f) Local and remote command checks are made with operative voltage fed by
preference from an independent, temporary source;
g) Check local and remote signaling is done simultaneously with order verification;
h) Checking the lighting circuits inside the cabinet is done with a voltage tester for
the socket and lamp;
i) Checking the heating circuits refers to the operation of the heating resistance of
the cabinet as well as the thermostat;
j) Verification of earthing circuits refers to checking the continuity at the ground in all
the metal parts of the cabinet.

6.4 Checking Projection Cabinets

6.4.1. Protective cabinets are subject to the following checks:
a) Measurement of insulation resistance of supply circuits, ca. and / or c.c. is done
as in command-control cabinets;

4|5
b) Measuring the polarity of the operational current circuits is done as in control-
command cabinets;
c) Verification of current flows is done as in command-control cabinets;
d) Checking the protection circuits is done only by identifying the threads with a
tester;
e) Checking the protection relays is only done by an authorized company that has
the necessary verification equipment; Their verification bulletins are valid for PIF;
f) Verification of the lighting and heating cabinet, as well as control-cabinets;
g) Verification of earthing circuits is done as in control-cabinets.

7. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
7.1. The measured values will be passed to the Testing Bulletins by the Team Set, which
will then be forwarded to the Head of the PRAM Laboratory.
7.2. The head of the PRAM Laboratory will compare the measured values with the
reference values and establish the conclusion in Verification Report (V.R.) if the cable can be
energized.
