SUBJECT: Easygen 3200 Software Update Problem


Description

The Easygen 3200 cannot be uploaded with the latest revision of software using toolkit
software. The affected units would have been shipped after August 2010.

Examples:

Attempted software update was completed


• The Boot-loader issue is still existing
• The same problem can occur again for the next attempt to flash software to the control
unit

Attempted software update was incompletely conducted


• Unit isn’t functional anymore, as a worst case the processor of the unit needs to be
replaced

Attempted software update leads to a freeze of the control unit before the update process is
actually started
• After cycling the power supply of the control unit, the control unit is fully functional again
• The same problem can occur again for the next attempt to flash a software to the
control unit

Please contact CPI department with the below information to check and see if your Easygen
Controller is affected by this bulletin.
