1. Elicit from the students the names of the four Super Friends.
2. Ask pupils to mime their special powers.
I. PRE-LESSON
3. Elicit what Whisper can do (speak to animals).
4. Write I like animals and I don’t like animals on the board. Elicit which Whisper says.
1. Activity 1:
 Check understanding of tree.
 Play the recording. Pupils listen and read to find out what is in the tree (spiders).
 Play the recording again. Pause after each frame to check comprehension.
 Talk with the class about the value (being brave) and where it is in the story (frame 2).
 Check understanding of clever, amazing, brothers and sisters.
II. LESSON
 Play the recording a third time. Pupils listen and repeat.
DEVELOPMENT
2. Activity 2:
 Distribute worksheets.
 Activity A: Play the recording. Pupils listen and tick (√) the correct box.
 Activity B: Pupils look at the story. Find the pictures and write the number.
 Activity C: Pupils match the pictures with the sentences.
 Check answers with the class.
1. Put pupils in groups of five.
2. Pupils each take a role of one of the characters.
III. POST LESSON 3. Play the recording. Pupils repeat in role.
4. Pupils practise the role play in groups.
