JSA Welding & Cutting Works

Welding and cutting operations present fire, electric, and eye hazards. Before starting work, combustible materials must be removed from the area or protected. A fire extinguisher and fire watch are required. During welding, proper personal protective equipment including welding gloves and face shield must be worn to prevent injuries. Electrical cords and tools must be inspected for defects before use. A job safety analysis was conducted to identify hazards and required controls for preparatory operations and the welding/cutting work.

workers.
Welding Or Cutting Eye damage 1. During welding/cutting operations, proper welding gloves and a full- Safety Engineer. Supervisor,
Electric Shock face, UV -ray protective shield shall be worn to prevent injuries to Engineer.
Cuts & Burns operator.
2. All electrical cords shall be inspected and in good working condition
prior to use (no missing ground pins, no damaged cords, or frayed
wires evident).
3. All small tools shall be inspected prior to use and found to be in
good working order prior to use.
