La Indolencia

Dr. Jose Rizal's essay "The Indolence of the Filipinos" argues that the perceived laziness of Filipinos was largely due to oppressive Spanish rule rather than an innate trait. Rizal provides several reasons for this, including the hot climate making work difficult, Filipinos seeing the fruits of their labor going to oppressive employers rather than themselves, the disruption of pre-Spanish self-sufficient lifestyles and industries, and the Spanish discouraging self-reliance through policies like prohibiting weapons and limiting trade. He also cites the negative influence of the Spanish example of a leisurely lifestyle and the education system's role in dulling Filipino initiative. While Filipinos are naturally

′′ THE LAZINESS OF THE FILIPINO ′′ 😂 o ′′ La Indolencia de los Filipino ′′ (′′ The Indolence of the

Filipino People ′′) written by Dr. José Rizal seems to be true before and until now, hahaha! 😂 😂 Is that why
the Philippines is not growing and called this ′′ third world country ′′ or still poor, and Rizal is called a ′′ hero
of third world "? Be the one to review what our beloved country is doing now. Why did our national hero say
that his fellow Filipinos are lazy? Read, read ′′ when there is time ", haha! 😂 Don't be lazy! 😃 😃 What you
can read here is a summary or summary of the Tagalog essay ′′ La Indolencia de los Filipinos," which has been
published on 'La Solidarity' from July 15, 1890 to September 15, 1890. This essay was written by Rizal on his
second destination in Europe. He wrote this in response to repetitive talk about Filipinos that they are lazy.
Jose Rizal did not oppose this in his essay; he admitted the laziness of his fellow countrymen. And when he
admitted that he gave reasons why Filipinos can say that they are lazy. Here are his reasons: The main cause is
the hot weather steam. Even foreigners in the Philippines from cold climates are getting lazy when they don't
want to handle heavy activities. In a hot town, even if someone doesn't act, he's sweating and not being put to
shame. According to Rizal, European inhabitants of the Philippines need shoes and shoes, and not walking but
always in their carriage, they eat and eat their livelihood. They are free fruits of their efforts for themselves;
there is hope for the future and the audience respects. But the abang native -- lazy folk -- lack food, no
expectations on tomorrow's day. The fruit of their exhaustion goes to others and employers take them or power
and work in compulsory. It is said that Europeans are struggling with hot weather towns, since they are not
used to this climate, so they should just be relieved of their circumstances. Rizal's language, a person can live
anywhere if he / she will just try to fit himself / her in terms of time / need. Hard work and volunteering are
lost to Filipinos because of what the Spaniards did. Filipinos, before the Spanish arrives, are convenient to
livelihoods; they trade China and other countries and they future farming, marketing, clothing weaving etc.
That's why it's not obvious that the Spanish people aren't here yet, Filipinos are breaking their bones, supplying
their needs and neglecting as it is happening now. All industries and farming are neglected because Filipinos
cannot defend against the plunderers from Mindanaw and Sulu. How do you not allow yourself to touch guns
and other weapons of defense to those who are left in the country while others are included in foolish labor.
During the Spanish season there was a lot of war and trouble within the country and many were killed. Rizal
told what happened somewhere near Sebu Lake in Mindanaw, who almost lost a person there because easily
captured by pirates from Sulu and took most of their lives; because they are not able to defend themselves.
Farming has been neglected still due to mandatory labor implemented by the government. Because of many
labor in different areas of Spanish, non-stop making ships is needed, so many Filipinos are cutting forest wood
to use. There is no certainty of their lives so they became neglectful. Regarding this is quoted by Rizal, from ′′
Sucesos de las Islas Philippine ′′ by Antonio de Morga, that indigenous people almost forgot about farming,
marketing and weaving, which they used to do when they were still heathens until some few more years after
conquering. That's the result of thirty-two years of forced labor imposed on Filipinos. The government has no
influence on so that people can persuade to make. Spaniards dull trading with free countries, like Siam,
Cambodia, and Japan, so the export of Filipino products and industry does not prosper. Filipinos can't make it
on their farm without the government's permission. Aside from that, they don't accept competent prices on
their products. Rizal said that after enslaved Filipinos, they work for their own benefit, and others are forcing
them to sell the harvest or product at a low cost and sometimes they don't have payment or that's why they are
being cheated on by the wrong scale and scales. According to Rizal, all business is being self-employed by the
governor and encouraging the Filipinos in their neglect -- all he thinks is his welfare so he can attain whatever
he can take from the benefits of trading. Filipinos are making a lot of scrub to deal with the government,
political humor, necessary dryness and ′′ comradeship," gifts, and completely disregarding their situation --
those have been worthwhile in making it worthwhile. The example that Spanish people showed in preventing
their hands from making, taking many Filipino commandments in the house, as if they are not allowed in their
situation to 'sweat', and the action that you have to do To whom a gentleman and Lord, the saying ′′ you are
like a Spanish --," all of them were planted in the will of the Filipinos, the seed of laziness, rejection and fear
of heavy work. And the language of the Filipinos before: ′′ Why do you still do it? Kura paroko of the church
says the rich man cannot enter the kingdom of heaven." Harsh! 😂 😂 Gambling is also given ease and many
are addicted to it. This is another one that makes laziness worse. Filipinos are not given any money-saving
assistance or loan to be capitalized on business. If a Filipino farmer has money, left, after tax deducting and
other bills, he is paying for prayer or nobena, blessing, candle, etc. Became religious in fear of going to
purgatory; scarecrow of friars to follow the ′′ indio ". 😂 If the crops are damaged by locust or typhoon, the
government doesn't give any help to farmers, so they are being held by laziness to rise. There is no inspiration
given to mastering the professions. There was a Filipino who studied chemistry in Europe, but didn't even pay
attention to him. Laziness is made more vulnerable to a bad education system. Rizal says, ′′ Since the example
of the lazy life of monks and the indigenous people did nothing but give their lives to the church for giving
their money to the church because of the expected miracles and other kneels Suitable. Their mood was
enchanted; from childhood they learned nothing but action like machines that don't know the consequences.
How wonder is this wrong awakening in a child's mind and will result in unworthy and contradictions? That
unfortunate opponent of mind and duty leads to the dull of his efforts, and in the heat of his infiniteness, his
doubts, has been the root of his laziness." The education system, used as an instrument for cruelty, has been
disobeyed instead of energetic to Filipinos. He had low self-acquaintance and disobedience in labor. Another
one who made the laziness of the Filipinos worse is that they lack feelings as a nation because they are
deprived of the right to establish the bonds that will give them a chance to understand and unite their feelings.
Since there is no country in danger, Filipinos do not worry about any hardship that people are experiencing.
The fire of their efforts is dead and no one can envious them to deal with time and vitality for the development
and prosperity of their nation. Rizal says: ′′ Education is the land, and freedom is the day of humanity. Without
education and without freedom, there is no change to be made, there is no step that can bring forth the fruit of
desired." Filipinos are naturally diligent and willing to suffer hardship to achieve what they want, but if all
'bone stretching' will benefit others, what more effort is for? Whew, so long! 😂 ′′ Gets ′′ what Grandpa Jose
wants to inform you, huh? 👊 #JoseRizalandJosephineBracken #RizalsUntoldStories #Rizalmovies
