Waste to Energy: Eco Solutions

This document discusses three potential solutions to environmental issues: 1) Providing economic incentives for recycling to promote sustainability and help low-income individuals. 2) Transforming waste into energy by using biomass to generate power and prevent organic waste from landfills. 3) Massively planting trees to absorb carbon dioxide, produce oxygen, lower temperatures, and improve water quality while reducing carbon footprints.

Solution 1: Incentive for recycling

In a survey done in 2014, the result showed that 41% of the people liked to
get an economic incentive rather than any other option. Non Governmental
Organizations have been putting this idea into practice.
A great idea to promote a better lifestyle and also helping low-income people
Reduces waste production and landfill occupation, increases recycling rates
and gives the needed an economical boost.
There aren't many incentives other than the economic, governments focus
heavily in other sectors.
Lower taxes to people if they recycle their wastes, give people some coupons
for recycling that they can exchange later in shops or other places.
An easytask, due to the simple way that it works. Can be introduced
worldwide

Solution 2: Transform waste into energy

Using biomass to generate power prevents more than 30 million tons a year
of organic waste. The biomass power industry recovers and removes 68
million tons of forest waste a year all around the world.
Transforming waste into energy is a big chance to create more and use it.

We can save money we waste in producing energy, generate a new economy.

The process is not cheap, it contaminates in some cases, not all the wastes
can be turned into energy.
Install more biomass plants in the landfills we already have.
Clasificate the different types of waste, and use the solid ones to incinerate
them and create energy.

Solution 3: Plant trees massively

Trees renew our air supply by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing
oxygen, they lower air temperature by evaporating water in their leaves. Also,
improve water quality by slowing and filtering rainwater.
A good idea that would help us reforest the world and reduce CO2
Carbon footprint reduced, prevent erosion, ecosystem preservation.
Growing time of trees is sometimes very long, land shortage, urbanization
could kill them.
Research on the types of trees that could help us in the removal of the
carbon footprint, viral trend about the reforestation.
Make an investigation, plan the map of plantation and make a program of
conservation.
