Abstract
Between rural tourism and agritourism there is a whole-to-part, agritourism being one of the components of
rural tourism. Agritourism is, however, mostly practiced in relatively isolated areas with a diversified
agricultural vocation, which require the assurance of necessities for living through one’s own forces, or
where there is a deep specialization, creating monopoly positions with regard to the production of certain
appreciated and demanded food products.
