Question-Pakistan Being Free From Covid-19 Is Nothing But A Miracle. Discuss

Pakistan has struggled with developing an effective healthcare system, ranking poorly in global assessments, yet managed to control the spread of COVID-19 compared to other South Asian countries through timely interventions like smart lockdowns and social distancing policies in public places. While inadequate testing and social stigma may have also played a role in lowering reported case numbers, it is not a miracle but rather the government's prompt response and enforcement of safety measures that have contributed most to preventing wider destruction from the pandemic within Pakistan.

Question- Pakistan being free from Covid-19 is nothing but a miracle.

Discuss

Being a developing nation, Pakistan has been struggling in every sphere of development due to which
the healthcare system has suffered a lot. Pakistan ranks as 122nd out of 190 countries in terms of the
healthcare system in the WHO performance report and ranks at 154 among 195 countries in terms of
quality and accessibility of healthcare as per the Lancet report. Despite these low rankings, Pakistan has
still managed to control the further spread of the COVID-19 as compared to other South Asian
Countries. in mid of July, the WHO enlisted Pakistan among the top 10 countries with the fastest-
growing cases of COVID-19 but the timely taken response such 'smart lockdown' techniques and must
follow SOPs policy in public places has brought the country out of the great danger. The other reasons
such as misleading and inadequate testing facilities and widespread social stigma could also be the main
factors behind the sudden decline of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan. Thus, we can simply say, timely taken
responses and strict SOPs policies have contributed to free Pakistan from the destruction and it is not a
product of a miracle.
