HB Retrievable Packer
The TIW® HB Series Packers are designed for maximum flexibility,
simplicity and reliability.
The HB-6 Packer is specially designed for high-pressure wells, whereas
the HB Packer is recommended for low-to-medium pressure applications.
Furthermore, the HB-6 Packer can be used in single or dual completions,
production testing, casing test, cementing, gravel pack, treating, stimulation
and injection.
The outstanding feature of these packers is the dependability of holding
firm against downhole conditions. The economical HB Packer has heavy-duty,
single-grip hold-up slips. The HB-6 Packer also has heavy-duty hold-down
slips for the high pressure wells. In addition, the HB-6 Packer features a
positive differential lock that automatically increases in response to
differential pressure from below the packer.
Both HB Series Packers are extremely easy to run, retrieve and reposition
due to very large bypass areas. Setting requires only a one-quarter right turn;
retrieval, a straight pull.

• Automatic bottom device locks slips in the retracted position
• No rotation needed when the tubing is raised the full stroke
of the mandrel
• Heavy-duty mandrel for maximum burst/collapse resistance
• In the HB-6 Packer, bolt on-type hold-down slips are isolated
from the tubing to prevent drag when running
• 360° hold-down when slips are engaged
• Heavy-duty, three-unit slips are fully retracted when
running in or coming out of the hole
