Bow Thruster Operation

Before operating bow thruster :


1- Check oil level at bow expansion tank.
2- Check cooling water pressure to coolers.

Note :
1- A/C pumps supply cooling water to cooler No.1
Machinery pump supply cooling water to cooler No.2
2- Starting panel at aft consol and repeater at fore consol.

Start operation :

Operation Indication
1- Press “Control Power On”. “Main Source On” lamp on.
2- Press “Pump Run”, wait “10 Second. “Fan Run” lamp on.
“Power Available” lamp on.
“Ready to Start” lamp on.
3- Press “Thruster Run” “Thruster Run” lamp on.
4- Start the pitch control by control dial.

Stop operation :

Operation Indication
1- Zero the blade angle by control dial.
2- Press “thruster stop”. “Thruster Run” lamp off.
3- Press “pump stop”. “pump run” lamp off.
4- Press “control power off”. “control power on” lamp off.
