Replacing the PLC battery
The PLC is almost maintenance free. There are only a few points for maintenance.
‘The battery must be replaced every year. When the battery is not inserted, (or inserted in the
correct manner), the PLC will not work properly. Make sure there is always a spare battery on board
the ship for each CPU unit.
Replacement of the battery:
1. Make sure the power on the PLC is turned on (green or red light on),
2. Switch the RUN/STOP switch in position STOP, the red light will light up.
3. Pull the battery cover open and remove the battery by pulling the plastic strip, the yellow light
with light up.
4, Put the new battery in its place. Check the polarity.
5. The yellow light will go out. If not, the battery is defective or has been inserted incorrectly.
6. If the yellow light is out, switch the PLC to run mode. The red light will go out and the green light
will light up.
