Mang Lead

Management can influence group dynamics and cohesion in several ways. The organization structure defines formal groups, and management can either impose their leadership or share leadership, which affects group ownership and motivation. Giving groups autonomy over tasks can increase self-control, motivation, and sense of achievement among group members. Managers must also manage informal groups and sentiments to encourage cohesion within formal work groups. Applying pressure from external competitors or deadlines can increase permanent high cohesion. The status and leadership of a group also impacts its cohesion.
