 72 Screens is a Commercial-Office Complex
which was design by Ar. Sanjay Puri.
 A six-level structure enveloped in abstractly 72 SCREENS
folded planes of perforated screens.
 Located in the city of Jaipur in India which has a
desert climate with average temperatures
ranging from 30oC to 50oC through most of the
year .
 Enveloped in abstractly folded planes of
perforated screens, this 6 level office building
creates an sculpture presence.
 The building is designed in response to the
excessive heat imbibing traditional elements.

1. GRC ( Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete )
 The entire façade of the building is sheathed in contemporary
reinterpretations of the traditional ‘ JALI ’ - an element commonly
found in the region, and an important climate responsive featureof
design.
 These jail is constructed from GRC ( Glass fiber Reinforced Concrete ).
 These jail is also known as GRC screens.
 These Glass-Reinforced Concrete screens further reduces heat gain
and render the building very energy efficient .
 The screens are supported by steel framework with projects that very
from 0.9 to 1.5 m.

2. STEEL
 The screens are supported by steel framework with projects that
very from 0.9 to 1.5 m.
 The steel framework create an external periphery space for plants at
each level that will acts as further insulating from the external heat
creating cooler office spaces within.

3. GLASS
 Glass is used in curtain walls, windows , doors .
 It is specially used in curtain walls which are designed beside the GRC screen or the jail for natural
light, ventilation and also for to create kaleidoscopic patterns in the interior spaces.
