LEARNING ACTIVITY 1
A.Read the dialog below and underline the Passive Voice that you find in the dialog !
Dialog 1
Harry : Hi Kim… Do you know about our new semester’s subject?
Kim : Yepp, on Monday we’ll get Phonetics and Phonemics.
Harry : Really? Who is the lecture?
Kim : Don’t you know,Harry? We will be taught by Mr. Hutchinson who is the grumpiest lecture in
this college and if he gives us assignments, it must be turned in two days before the class.
Harry : Waoww, you really scare me.
Kim : Not just about that. You know what. We’ll be asked to make a presentation related to his
explanation. Sounds creepy huh?
Harry : Thank you Kim. Take the positive sides. It will be so much fun with grouping method thus we
can share our opinions and ideas.
Kim : Yep, I agree. 

Dialog 2
Bill : Daddy,,, where is my bicycle? Have you seen it?
Dad : The bicycle is being repaired by the mechanic.
Bill : Since when? I didn’t know about that.
Dad : It has been two days.
Bill : When will it get fixed?
Dad : It will be done tomorrow Bill. I’ll take you to the school.
Bill : Thanks Dad. I’ll get my breakfast first).
Bill : (In the kitchen) Hi Mom, good morning.
Mom : Good morning sweetheart.
Bill : Where is my breakfast meal Mom?
Mom : It’s on the table, dear.
Bill : By whom is the meal made, Mom? Because the taste is not like usual.
Mom : The meal is made by your dad, dear.
Bill : Really? Tastes great.

Dialog 3
Jane : Please lend me a novel.
Lidia : I am sorry, the novel is being read by my sister.
Jane : Do you have another novel?
Lidia : No, I don’t have any novel, but my sister has.
Jane : So what is your favorite book?
Lidia : I love comic. It is read every night before sleep.
Jane : May I see your comics?
Lidia : Yes, sure. Here you are. But Conan is being read by my brother.
Jane : No problem. Where did you buy these comics?
Lidia : Those were bought in Gramedia.
Jane : Does your sister like a novel so much?
Lidia : Yes, she does. Novels are collected by her. A novel is always bought in a month.
