Re: Notice to Vacate Property for Expiration of Lease Agreement
Dear [Tenant’s Name],
This notice is to inform you that your Contract of Lease dated [insert date] on the lease
of [unit 000] expired last [insert date of expiration]. In the absence of a new contract, you opted
to renew your lease on a month-to-month basis. We regret to inform you that we will no longer
renew your lease on the subject premises. We hereby terminate your lease of [unit 000]
effective thirty (30) days from receipt of this notice. You are hereby required to pay all
outstanding rents, and to vacate and remove all your possessions from the premises within the
said 30-day period. Moreover, all keys to the premises must be returned to us upon expiration
of the said 30-day period.
The Contract of Lease provides that the deposit of [insert amount] shall be applied to
any damages incurred to the leased premises or obligations due from the lessee to the lessor
under the contract. Your deposit will be refunded after you vacate the premises and after
reasonable time to conduct inspection to determine if the unit is in a clean and undamaged
condition; Provided, that such time will not be less than thirty (30) days from the date you
vacated the unit. Please note that all rent and bills for the premises are payable until the
termination date.
Should you fail, refuse or neglect to vacate the premises within thirty (30) days from
receipt of this Notice, we will initiate legal proceedings against you for unlawful detainer,
recovery of possession, damages for every day of occupancy after the expiration date of this
notice, costs of suit, and attorney’s fees.
