Fall 2020 Reflection Journal
Use this guide to reflect on your learning in Communications this trimester. Provide thoughtful, honest responses, written in complete
sentences. Everything you write here can be used during your exhibition.
1. Think about your writing this trimester. Is it important for us to define, and narrate, where we are from? Why or why not?
2. Use the table below to provide two examples of changes you made to your writing. In the first row, give an example of how
you edited a fused (run-on) sentence or a sentence fragment in order to make it complete. In the second row, give an example
of how you revised your writing to improve the imagery. The first two columns should be direct quotes from your writing.
Make sure to explain why you made the changes in the third column.
*If you did not make any revisions/edits previously, make them in the table below now.
**If you did not complete enough writing to do this reflection, use the writing in the Peer Review assignment under Week 7 to fill in
the table below.

3. On the next page, use the rubric to evaluate your own Vignette. Give yourself a score (1-4) for each of the three categories, and
explain why you selected that number.
*If you did not write the Vignette, write a reflection about why you were unable to complete it this trimester. Explain what the barriers
and challenges were for you. Please write at least 5 complete sentences.
