Application forms and Hall Tickets can be downloaded from the University Web-site
(www.b-u.ac.in) from 01.10.2019. No separate application form will be issued by the
university.
FEE for each paper: Rs.500/-
While remitting the examination fees, the fee for the Statement of Marks (Rs.400/-)
and Cost of Application (Rs.100/-) must also be paid.
The candidate who is eligible to appear for the M.Phil., examinations for the first time
shall submit the examination application and pay the fee for all papers (Rs.2,000/-)
irrespective of whether the candidate is willing or not willing to appear for the NOVEMBER
2019 Examinations.
Prescribed fee may be paid by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of THE
REGISTRAR, BHARATHIAR UNIVERSITY, payable at Coimbatore or through a challan
(Green Colour, EXAM FUND ACCOUNT) only in Bank of India.
The last date for the receipt of duly filled in applications (along with photo attested Hall
Ticket) together with the prescribed fees in the Offices of the Controller of Examinations is as
follows:
WITHOUT FINE : 11.10.2019
WITH FINE Rs.60/- : 18.10.2019

The External Ph.D. candidates shall submit their applications as per the dates stated
above to the Director i/c, Research & Development Centre, Bharathiar University,
Coimbatore – 641 046 and NOT TO THE CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS.
The candidates should fill-in all the columns in the application and obtain signatures
with seal from respective guide/HOD/Principal/Director and should enclose:
i) Photo attested hall ticket
ii) Registrar’s/Director’s Communication (Registration Communication-Admission
order)
iii) Approved Syllabus copies to which they will appear for November 2019
Examinations (may be downloaded from the University website)
iv) A copy of Post Graduate Degree/Provisional Certificate
Mobile Numbers of the GUIDE and also of the candidate may be written in the address
column, which will enable this office to make further communications.

On receipt of the applications from the candidates by this office, all the applications
will be scrutinized. Based on the above, a nominal roll containing the names of candidates
and papers to be written will be prepared by this office and the same will also be sent to
the respective Heads (University departments), Principals, Directors (Research
Institutions), Director i/c (Research and Development Centre). In this regard, if there is
any discrepancy in the nominal roll, the same may be informed to the Controller of
Examinations immediately. If any discrepancy is noticed, it will be rectified before the
issue of Hall-tickets.
The Hall-tickets for the eligible candidates will be issued at the respective
Examination Centers three days prior to the commencement of the examinations. The
External Ph.D. candidates can collect their Hall-tickets from the Director i/c, Research and
Development Centre, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore – 641 046.
It is requested that this may be informed to all candidates and guides concerned.

It is informed that the following batches of candidates admitted during October
/November are to submit their dissertation during October / November 2019 as the case may
be:

November 2017 (Part-Time) - 1st to 30th of November 2019
October 2018 (Full-Time) - 1st to 31st of October 2019
i) At the time of submission, Dissertation submission fee of Rs.3,500.00
ii) Guide, HOD and Principal/Director of Colleges/Research Institutions, Guide and HOD of
University Departments should sign and forward three copies of the Dissertation along with the
application.
iii) Along with the filled in application, a certificate, declaration and plagirthum (original copy) in
specified formats are to be enclosed.
iv) The relevant admission/re-admission order (Registrar’s Communication), Guide change, broad
field change, Institute change orders (if any) also should be enclosed.
v) The Guide is requested to enclose in a separate sealed cover a panel of examiners with their
full name, Department, full address of Institute, Pin Code with Mobile number and send it
along with the copies of the dissertation. Otherwise the dissertation will not be accepted.
It is requested to circulate this communication among all M.Phil., guides and candidates of
your Institution without fail.
