WEEK 1
WEEK 1
November 5-7, On our first RLE meeting, we had our
2020 orientation and we were then asked
questions about our expectations towards
the teacher and the subject and I realized
that most of our expectations are truly
different with the kind of expectations we
usually gave during our past RLE
orientations before since we are now
learning in a different setting with different
methods of learning unlike before. The
kind of learning that we have today is more
on independent learning. For our RLE
activity , were able to develop a
hypothetical patient using the Gordon’s
Functional Health Pattern and Physical
Assessment forms. In our oral revalida , we
talked about the introductory concepts of
the illness or condition which was COPD
and Lung Cancer and the anatomy and
physiology of the respiratory system.
Throughout the activity truly learned so
much from it since and I love how our
clinical instructor answered our questions
with regards to the topic with so much
knowledge about it. In our group each of
us truly work hand in hand which made
our tasked less difficult for us.

WEEK 2
WEEK 2
November 12- On the first day of our RLE, we were
14, oriented to the following requirements
2020 that we have to accomplish for this week
and the task that was given to us was to
make a list of Diagnostic and Laboratory
Examinations , List of Medical
Management and List of Surgical
Management and a Concept Map based on
the specific diseases on the case scenario
that was given to us. The first day RLE for
this week was truly wasn`t easy for me
since on our group we have decided that
each of the members will divide the parts
of the task, and since we are only three ,
one is assigned to list the Diagnostic and
Laboratory Examinations , one is assigned
to do the List of Medical Management and
the other one is assigned to do the
concept map , and for the for the first day
we have to pass the list of Diagnostic and
Laboratory Examinations , List of Medical
Management and List of Surgical
Management which includes the
description of the examination; the
purpose of the examination specific to the
disease; normal and significant findings;
implication of the significant findings; and
the nursing care before, during, and after
the procedure. I chose to do the Diagnostic
and Laboratory Examinations. However, I
made a mistake for thinking that we really
have to pass the final output for the list of
Diagnostic and Laboratory Examinations ,
List of Medical Management and List of
Surgical Management for that day until
3pm where in fact we only need to pass
the partial output which means that it
doesn`t need to be totally finished. As a
result, since I was assigned to do the list of
Diagnostic and Laboratory Examinations
and we started doing our work at 9 am so I
was really panicking thinking I have to
finish it on or before 3 pm and our case
scenario have two diseases so I really have
to focus on finding out the list of
Diagnostic and Laboratory Examinations
which is best suited or needed for the two
diseases which are COPD and lung cancer.
On that day I realized that for you to be
able to decide what are the Diagnostic and
Laboratory Examinations will be needed
for a certain disease , you really have to
understand the disease, specially its signs
and symptoms and you have to make sure
that the results are congruent to the
expected diagnostic and laboratory result
on that certain disease based on the
evidence-based method. You have to
ensure its reliability also. On the second
day, we have to make our concept map
and continued doing our task on the first
day and we had our oral revalida which
was very knowledgeable and you can really
learn a lot from it. On the third day, we
finalized the output of our concept map
and we had an oral revalida about it. Even
though , one member of the group was
already assigned to make the concept
map, it was truly needed that we have to
know and understand what was written on
it and we need to study it as a group
because at the end of the day it`s our
concept map , it represents us as a group ,
how we understood the disease as a
group.
