COVID

COVID-19 is a global pandemic that has infected over 30 million people and killed over 957,000 as of September 2020. It is caused by a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. Common symptoms include fever, cough and breathing difficulties, and in severe cases it can cause pneumonia, organ failure or death. While there is currently no vaccine or approved treatment, scientists are working to develop vaccines and treatments to relieve symptoms and serious illness requires hospitalization. The pandemic has also had some positive environmental impacts from reduced emissions during lockdowns and increased community support, but has also caused anxiety and stress for many people.

COVID-19 is a pandemic.

Billions of people are being affected and millions of

people are being infected. As of September 20, the global death toll surpassed
957,000 amid more than 30.8 million cases. Over 21 million people have
recovered from the disease worldwide, according to the data collected by the
Johns Hopkins University in the United States. The coronavirus family causes
illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as
severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory
syndrome (MERS), according to the WHO. The new coronavirus, the seventh
known to affect humans, has been named COVID-19. Common signs of
infection include fever, coughing and breathing difficulties. In severe cases, it
can cause pneumonia, multiple organ failure and death. China alerted the
WHO to cases of unusual pneumonia in Wuhan on December 31.COVID-19 is
thought to have originated in a seafood market where wildlife was sold
illegally. The WHO recommends basic hygiene such as regularly washing
hands with soap and water, and covering your mouth with your elbow when
sneezing or coughing.Maintain “physical distancing” – keeping at least 1 metre
(three feet) between yourself and others – particularly if they are coughing
and sneezing, and avoid touching your face, eyes and mouth with unwashed
hands. Covid-19 has also caused some very good things to happen. Like a
healing earth, new technology, and community engagement. Upon the recent
worldwide quarantines and lockdowns, we have collectively significantly cut
down on emissions. These cutbacks are helping the ozone layer recover
faster then us humans would have been able to do. COVID-19 has caused
many people to be anxious, stressed, lonely and possibly depressed. I think
that if people keep doing these acts of kindness, governments across the
world will see these types of actions and hopefully the world will come

together as one and live in peace and happiness. There is not yet any
vaccine, drug, or treatment invented for Coronavirus or COVID-19. That

is why this is the highest tension point for all. So if anyone gets infected

by this virus, he or she should receive care to relieve symptoms and if it

results in serious illness then he or she should be hospitalized. Scientists

are trying to come up with possible vaccines and some specific drug

treatments that are now under investigation.
