The document is a letter from an employee benefits in-charge responding to a complaint received about delays in processing retirement claim cases (RCC). The letter explains that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, office operations were reduced for four months and RCC processing was halted for five months as in-person meetings were not allowed. While 150 pending cases were settled in one month despite these constraints, the employee commits to clearing all remaining backlogged cases by the end of January 2021 as meetings must now be one-on-one to maintain social distancing guidelines.
