The above quote describes me as a person and as a student. This has been my driving
force for all the accomplishments of my educational career. My motivation has always
been at its peak beginning from the early years at the high school through to the
undergraduate school.

During my Bachelor of Technology program, I learned the fundamentals of Electronics


and Communication Engineering like Electronic Devices and Circuits, Electronic circuit
analysis, Applied Physics which accompanied by intense practical work reinforced my
interest. As a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, I also took interest
in linear and Digital Integrated Circuits, Microprocessors and Interfacing,
Communication Systems. I was introduced to software’s like PSPICE/ SIMULATION,
MASM, MATLAB wherein I am able to apply all my theoretical knowledge I have
acquired into real time applications. By knowing the fundamentals of the ever developing
branch of electronics is not enough to contribute effectively to the society. The realm of
electronics engineering is increasingly growing towards self-programming in automation,
which would in tune with the demands of the user. Hence, MS in this field would be of
great help to realize my dreams and goals.

The sharing of new ideas and new findings has been a vital role of my education.
Technical presentations have been an excellent opportunity for me to explore beyond the
syllabus and was instrumental in giving competitive edge over my peers. I take pride in
informing that I presented technical papers on Witricity: Wireless Electricity. I also
participated in the national level symposium.

Apart from the academics, I have been at the forefront in participating in extra curricular
activities. I also organized various annual events in my college like the Annual day,
National level symposium. I am also the coordinator of the Electronics and
Communication technical association which is dedicated in organizing the student level
conferences and seminars.

It is the practical knowledge accompanied with strong base in the fundamentals which
generates the interest and zeal to study further. I was lucky enough to get the much
required practical base as I got the opportunity to visit the National Thermal Power
Corporation (NTPC) power house, B.H.E.L (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited), ECIL
(Electronics Corporation of India Limited).
On careful study of your prospectus and the information gathered from the current
students of Oakland University, I have found that the graduate program in the institution
suits my need perfectly. From the college website it is evident that your university has an
excellent course structure and good reputation. The well qualified, experienced and very
distinguished faculty, excellent laboratory facilities and presence of exceptional research
facilities in the field of my interest and opportunities, and the interest given to the
students at the university are the important and key factors which motivated me to choose
Oakland University for graduate studies.

Quest to acquire knowledge never ends. My immediate goal is M.S. in Electrical


Engineering. I believe with my scholastic academic record, I will measure up to the high
standards of your Institute of Academic Excellence and therefore hope that my
application will be favorably considered.
