This document provides a technical description of a flexible shielded cable for use in radio base station towers. The cable has the following construction: 1. A bare annealed copper wire conductor 2. Halogen-free XLPE insulation and a halogen-free outer jacket 3. Additional concentric copper wire conductors helically applied over the insulation for shielding, with a copper tape also applied for shielding. It recommends using cable clamps every 2 meters for installation in radio tower applications, with a minimum bending radius of 12 times the cable diameter during installation and 8 times the diameter for final installation bends.

- material : Bare annealed copper wire. Stranding: class 5.

- 2 - Insulation :
- material : Halogen free XLPE compound.
Brown and blue insulation.
- 3 - Binding :
- material : Plastic non-hygroscopic tape.

- 4 - Inner Jacket :
- material : Halogen free compound.

- 5 - Concentric Conductor :
- material : Copper wires helically applied over insulation shield (concentric format)
and copper tape helically applied over concentric conductor;

- 6 - Jacket :
- material : Polyvinyl Chloride RoHS Compliant (PVC) black able to withstand
exposure to sunlight ( UVA and B resistant) and to atmospheric
temperature.

Recommendation:

For Radio Base Station Tower Application, we recommend to use Cable Clamps with 2 meters
distance each.
- Min. bending radius, installation 12 x D
- Final installation only one bending 8 x D (D= overall diameter)
