History and Construction

Palika bazaar falls on this axis and hence
to avoid visual barrier for the axis, it is
built underground.

Connaught place is filled with public spaces and


commercial buildings. The central park becomes a
vantage point to attract public which has led to infill
of commercial spaces. The place is filled with
restaurants, pubs, cinemas, shopping complexes, etc.
Parking Pedestrian Vehicular

Connaught place has an inner circle, intermediate circle and


an outer circle, the inner circle and outer circle have vehicular
movement clockwise and the intermediate circle has anti
clockwise. There are radial road connections into the circle.
Intially all 7 roads were 2 way but now they're one ways
with 3 roads going outwards and 4 roads going inwards
