Base Band 6630 Integration

This document provides steps to integrate new software onto a baseband unit through downloading files and restoring configuration data. The steps include: 1. 5216/5212/6630 Integration procedure

Laptop IP setting
The Node is working

To restore/Format the Base band

Click Board restore, this will format the Baseband


The procedure is GUI but is equivalent to format the C and D drive in DUS/DUW

Login again thro IE and note the Node Status (Node has not been up), this after restore/format
Change the address in the note bar by removing /ea.html after IP, this will lead you to the below page

Entre: Host 169.254.2.1 Username : rbs Password: rbs


Open freeFTPd, run it as administrator
Click Users and click Change
Apply and Save
Put xyz.xml

Xyz.xml file contains all the files for definition

xyz.xml
After insert xyz.xml file, click Download files

Seem not working after click download, check again settings in freeFTPd
Click download file and check if user connected as below

yes, now working


Check the download progress, at 63 percent, the Integrate button will be activated

all data downloaded


Click Integrate button when highlighted,

After click integrate button, the BB will reboot/restart


Now the remaining task to be done on Moshell

Login to Moshell 169.254.2.2

Now we need to put the CV sent to us by BO or Network Operation centre

Extract
Open extracted folder and you will see 3 CV provided to you

I will copy one of CV to my directory home Cygwin


click Cygwin and home
Paste it
Use cvls, to see there is only 1 CV, when you finish the process you will have another CV

Copy the name of CV


cvput (paste the name) note one space btw cvput and name

Error, BB CV are of different software, so this CV for DU that why shows error

Use cv for BB
After complete, use again cvls to confirm how many cv you have

2 cv

Now need to restore CV in Base band using different procedure


Type command

acl BrmBackup=3 (entre)

acc 88 restore (entre)

It will take 5 to 10 min to complete the procedure


CV which is to be restored in one Base band should be of the same software as the existing software in
the BB ( if the 2 SW not matching, it will not be successful)

The BB will restart for 5 minutes more and when done and CPRI connected BB will come up
Site ID changed: TRY576

Disconnect and connect again
