MDD & OMC of SOIL

JP Autoclaves & Co conducted modified proctor tests on soil samples from two project locations - Vedanta and CHP - to determine the maximum dry density (MDD) and optimum moisture content (OMC). For the Vedanta sample, the MDD was determined to be 1.92 g/cc at an OMC of 11.65%. For the CHP sample, the MDD was 1.88 g/cc at an OMC of 11.60%. The tests involved compacting soil at different moisture contents and recording the dry density to establish the MDD and OMC for each sample.
