Soil profile description:
The soil profile was dug in the agricultural field near the college campus. The soil profile exposed four distinct horizons from top to bottom. The top horizon (A horizon) was dark brown in color and had a thickness of 15 cm. It contained high amount of decomposed organic matter. The second horizon (B horizon) was yellowish brown in color and had a thickness of 25 cm. It had moderate amount of clay. The third horizon (C horizon) was light brown in color and had a thickness of 30 cm. It contained high amount of weathered rock fragments. The bottom most horizon (R horizon) was gray in
