Presentation:: Racism Is Ugly It Divides People Into Us and Then Based On Where We Come From or The Color of

This presentation discusses the topic of racism. It defines racism as dividing people based on attributes like skin color, religion, or sexual orientation. Racism causes harm by treating some groups badly in their daily lives. Racism exists due to factors like inheriting racist views from family or only socializing within one's own group. This can lead to thinking one's own group is superior. The presentation notes that Aboriginal people, refugees, and migrants often face racism through discrimination that limits opportunities. Racism can occur in schools, online, in public, at work, and in sports. It causes significant mental health impacts and reduces people's ability to succeed due to unequal access to services and education. Racism affects people and communities across Australia

Presentation :

good morning teacher and dear colleges welcome to our presentation me mohammed
LAALOU and my friend mohammed LAHMINE and the topic of my presentation is called
racism, so what is racism?
racism is ugly it divides people into us and then based on where we come from or the color of
our skin, our religion, or even our sex and sexual orientation, and it happens when people feel
that it's okay to treat others badly as they go about their daily lives .
So why are people racist?
It's a question that people ask all the time before all part of the human race why are people
racist after all there are no biological differences between people no races appear you're
inferior to another we're all the same there are many reasons one people can have racist
attitudes we take on the views of people around us a lot of our attitudes are shaped when we're
young with our family members or friends express races opinions it's common that we'll take
on those views ourselves the problem is that unless we do something about it they can stay
with us for a lifetime they only hang around people like us it's normal to want to spend time
with people that the same interest background culture and language it creates a sense of
belonging that is really important the downside is that it can also set up differences between
other groups over time this might lead us to thinking that our group is better than others.
who experiences racism?
Anyone can experience racist behavior such as being abused because of the color of your skin
it's never okay even as one of even as a one-of incident and it's even worse for people who
experience it frequently many of whom also experienced discrimination in other areas of their
lives groups are regularly experience racism include Aboriginal and Torres Strait island island
the Islanders and paper from culture culturally diverse backgrounds that all swim often has to
do with sister Mary just the systemic discrimination which limits their backgrounds to same
opportunities and resources as many people and showing backgrounds many Margaret's and
refugees also regularly experience racism but not all in the same way the experiences are
often shaped bother but when they came to Australia and where they came from Margaret's
and refugees we have recently arrived in shalyah especially those whose skin color speech or
dress is different than we're used to and more likely to be targeted racism for example
researchers found that we are more accepting on Margaret from countries with a long history
of migration to Australia such as Italy and Greece and that we tend to feel more negative
towards newer groups of Margaret's from the middle is an African countries maybe your
reports and comp commentary that use negative stereotypes about refugees and new markets
can fuel pressure prejudice against base groups in the water community and these attitudes
can make it very difficult for new arrivals to find housing and jobs and to feel connected to
their communities. where does racism happened?
absolute rights as amongst like being believed for how you look when you're eight or what
you where being made to feel different from other students or when teachers don't stand up to
racism when it happens online racism looks like recent receiving harassing messages on
Facebook thing on a email chain for offensive jokes or racist YouTube videos or comments in
public racism looks like being abused being called names but thinks about having things
thrown at you or when people act aggressively to you our work racism looks like being
refused a job interview because of your name being abused teased or left out by workmates or
not being considered for a promotion playing sport racism looks like being abused by
opponents or spectators or being left out by the coach or players in the other team.
why is racism a problem?
racism can cause a lot of damage to both individuals and communities a study of over 800
trillion secondary students found that racism had huge mental health impacts on young people
who experienced them including ongoing feelings of sadness anger depression and being left
out headaches increased high rates sweating trembling and muscle tension a constant fear of
the verbally or physically attacked not wanting to go to school having little or no trust in
anybody apart from family these impacts can reduce people's ability to work or study and to
achieve their future goals racism also affects people .people general with well-being when
they're denied equal access to job services and education as you can see racism affects people
all around Australia and is not sued in our society thank you for listening to my presentation
