SPACE TRAVEL AND EXPLORATION
Space travels can be carried out bu manned and unmanned spacecrafts.Space travels
have multiple purposes. These are scientific, military or commercial purposes.Space is a great
obscurity for humanity.There are about 10 trillion planet in our galaxy. Therefore, humanity
travels to this great universe.There is a rocket carrying spacecraft and this rocket is fired on
earth.In this way, space travel begins. The vehicle that beats gravity gets out of the
atmosphere. Some spacecraft are designed to return to Earth.Why do people want to explore
space?What are the purposes of travels to space?In this essay, I will mention about space
travels,researches and purposes.
Firstly, space exploration causes technology to develop in many areas. These
developments have positive effects on our daily life.Discoveries are adopted for diffirent
purposes and science progresses faster.For instance; robotic human arm and leg,fire resistans
costums of firefighters, drinking water treatment systems,digital cameras on our smartphones.
All these are tools discovered during space exploration and we use them in our daily life.The
most important factor when Nasa sent astronouts into space was food took up as little space as
possible in the spacecraft. Therefore food was formulated and stored in powder form.This was
a technology that led to the powdered baby foods used today. An important part of today's
powdered baby food is Nasa. Thanks to NASA's satellite technology, underground waters
have been discovered in many regions that have been drought for years, especially in Africa,
and millions of people are more than dehydrated. Bulletproof steel vests worn by soldiers and
policemen in many countries today, first emerged with space research. Joystick technology is
also a result of space exploration We can list many more inventions.
Secondly , there are many companies dealing with space travel and research.For
instance , Nasa and SpaceX. These companies are doing space travel and research with large
budgets. The purpose of this is for scientific reasons and the biggest reason is to ensure the
future survival of humanity. They study the structure of the planets and investigate the
probability of life on planets and regions other than Earth. Today, many theories about space
travel are proposed. For example, the Mars plan of Elon Musk! Elon Musk, one of the
founders of SpaceX, announced that he wants to send 1 million people to Mars by 2050, and
research on this continues. He underlines that the Starship spaceship, developed by SpaceX,
has a very important role in this plan. Scientists are planning interplanetary travel in the
coming years. Elon Musk explains this with these words: "There are two ways to face
humanity today; to stay on Earth forever and wait for the inevitable extinction of our lineage,
or to travel into space and become a species that can survive between planets".
To sum up, space exploration is very important to humanity. Although a lot of budget
is spent for these researches, we gain many benefits as a result of the studies. Inventions
discovered so far are the result of these studies. Many inventions have been made, especially
as a result of Nasa's space studies. Nowadays we use these inventions and they make our life
easier. For instance; robotic human arm and leg,fire resistans costums of firefighters, drinking
water treatment systems,digital cameras on our smartphones. All these and much more were
discovered through space studies. My opinion is that much more study will be done by
companies in the future and new technologies will be discovered. SpaceX company directed
by Elon Musk is an example of this. This company says space travel will be possible in the
coming years and studies on this topic continue. They are in the process of building a big and
powerful rocket, and with this rocket, many people will be able to travel to space in the
coming years. It is like a dream for humanity to discover the unknown and find life on new
planets ,but as we said, there are about 10 trillion planet in our galaxy. I believe many
discoveries will be made in this great galaxy. Who knows maybe we can travel intergalactic
after a short time.
