Unit
: Getting through Sequence:
Writing a Reply to Kirsi’s Email
Dear Kirsi,
I received your e-mail last week. I am so glad to know about your
family, your school and your country.
As you know my name is Amel. It means hope in Arabic. I am an
Algerian student. I always wake up early in the morning to prepare myself
to school. I never take the bus to go to school because it takes me just 5
minutes to go there. I learn two foreign languages, French and English. My
best subject is physics.
My family is not very large. My mother is a nurse and my father is a
fireman. My two brothers are students. Amira is my sister; she is younger
than me. My room is quite beautiful. It is well decorated. Our house is
rather big and there is a nice garden behind it.
I live in a small village which is called Ras El Oued. It is very far from
the sea but it is a very splendid place.
Finally, I’ll tell you something about Algeria. It is an African country;
it is near from the Mediterranean Sea. Algeria has got a lot of mountains
like ‘ Hoggar ’ and ‘Tassili’. We have a great history which is the pride of
each Algerian.
With my best wishes,
Amel
