1. SCOPE OF THE DOCUMENT


This document is a chapter of the PACiS Operator Interface (OI) equipment documentation
binder. It describes the Technical Data (OI/EN TD) of this product.
PACiS OI is a software package installed on an industrial or laptop PC to increase
environmental capabilities. Technical characteristics of this PC are described thereafter.

2. REQUIREMENTS
The following tables give the minimum hardware requirements to run correctly PACiS OI
application.
2.1 PC

PACiS OI Server & PACiS OI Client


Type of PC Standard desktop with Pentium IV 2.4 GHz minimum
RAM 1024 MB RAM
Hard Disk 40 GB - FT32 format – 7200 rmp
CD-ROM Reader
Operating System Windows 2000 Professional current SP according to the language
Windows XP Pro current SP according to the language
Graphical VGA screen 256 colours minimum, resolution 1024*768
Ethernet Ethernet port (100 Mb)

2.2 Printers
Three types of printers are available:

⇒ The SOE printers (Sequence Of Event)

⇒ The LB printers (Log Book)

⇒ The HC printers (Hard-Copy)


The SOE and LB printers are 132 column printers, the available printer is LEXMARK 2491.
All types of graphic printer are available for Hard-Copy.
PACIS OI doesn't support EPSON printers.
For LEXMARK printers, page code 1004 has to be selected to print marked characters.
2.3 Remote Access
PACIS OI Client can be on all type of remote PC.
2.4 Smart Card Reader
Licence Calyx SSO, from Calyx NetSecure company, with smart card reader (external USB
reader, keyboard with card reader).
2.5 Microsoft SQL 2000 Server
PACiS OI requires Microsoft SQL 2000 Personal Edition Rel 8.00.194 English Version with
Service Pack 1.
2.6 Crystal Reports
Only in case of reports customisation: Crystal Reports v8 or v10.
Otherwise, it is not required to install Crystal Reports on PACiS OI.
