Compare & contrast

Compare:
Comparison or comparing is the act of evaluatnn two or
more things by determining the relevant, comparable
characteristcs of each thing and then determining which
characteristcs of each are similar to the other. Which are
diferent and to what degree. Compare focus on
similerites of two objects. The words commonly used in
compare are also, likewise, to be similar etc.

Contrast:
To contrast something is to look for diferences
among two or more elements. It focus on the
diferences of two or more than two things.
The words used commonly in contrast are However,
while, whereas, but, to difer from etc.
Compare and contrast in paragraph:
Paragraph:
Compare & contrast

"The life in cites is diferent from the life in rulral areas.


First, the cites are crowded with people. Like, Karachi has
more than ten million people is much more crowded than
the countryside areas. Another, in cites there is a noise in
hinh level. But, in rural areas there is a complete calm.In
countryside areas there is no crowed and noise. In cites
there are mobile and other communicaton services.
Similerlyg some countryside areas have these facilites.
Sog life in rural areas is beter than in cites. "
Analysis:
The bold words in the paranarph show comparison
and contrast. In this paranraph, there is a compare and
contrast between rural and urban life. In this Paranraph,
frst of all they describe contrast between rural and urban
life. Then they described similarites of the rural and urban
life. It is compare.

Paragraph:
"Many people believe college is just a continuation
of high school. However, the two have distnct diferences
that can’t be ignored when you walk on to a college
campus. And, it isn’t just that newfound freedom!
Compare & contrast

Examine the similarites and diferences of college vs. high


school by looking at the structure, teaching style. In high
school, the structure is easy to see. Students have
followed it for at least the last 8 years of their lives.
Students spend about 6 hours a day or 30 hours a week
learninn various subjects in structured tme increments. To
make sure everyone atends buses usher them to school."
Analysis:
In above paranraph, the compare and contrast
is described between college and high school.it is
described that here is a huge distinct between college and
high school. They are thoroughly diferent from eachother.
