Each person is unique, and we should respect individual differences. Manuel displayed extreme behaviors and had developmental delays, leading his family to believe he was deaf from a young age. Julian also showed extreme behaviors and intellectual issues. While Manuel and Julian faced similar disabilities, their experiences differed due to differences in how society viewed and treated them, significantly impacting their ability to live normal lives. The societal treatment of disabilities can greatly change people's life paths and perceptions of themselves.

Reflection

Each and everyone of us are confine within our own box of personality. We are diverse and unique when
we try to compare ourselves to others. And with this, we should learn how to value and respect those
differences innate on everyone of us.

In their story, there are some reasons that led them to experience different way of living and change
their life trajectories. Manuel had difficulty within himself and displayed an extreme behavior. And early
at his age, his own parent already concluded that Manuel can be able to have a hard time to catch up
with developmental concerns and some of his relative also have this idea that he was deaf.

As human we don’t know the reason behind why people diagnosed with their disabilities that hinders
them to act accordingly. We all know that they experience different treatment in the society that they
live in. Just like the story of Manuel and Julian, who have similar disabilities, but different experiences.
And with this, it affects on how he lives like a normal person. He also has mental retardation as an effect
of his life experiences.

Julian also manifested extreme behaviors and he actually have some intellectual problem. All said, he
underwent with different treatments and therapy that served as an alternative medication on his
disability.

With the given illustration about the different life experiences of the characters in accordance to the
disability they had, it was evident that the society they belong and how they were being viewed and
treated contribute a wide impact on changing their own life trajectories and perception.

“Disabled person becomes more disabled based on the society they have and belong.”
