ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A study of the current ADR system in the Philippines, composed of agencies in the judicial
and executive departments implementing the provisions of the ADR law and its pertinent rules
and guidelines.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course, law students are able to:
1. Understand their role and the role of lawyers in the application of ADR as part of Judicial Process
2. Help lighten judicial workload and decongest heavy court dosckets by actively and effectively participating
in the ADR process;
3. Empower the client/ litigants to resolve their own disputes; and
4. Help preserve the Filipino culture of prior conciliation to resolve their disputes.
