Jing - Qi - Shen

Three Treasures of Human Body:

1. Jing The essence of the body: includes the fluids of the body such as blood, semen, sweat,
tears, and saliva.

a. Yin Jing Comes from food and water and manifests as blood, tears, sweat and saliva. Food and
water go to the spleen, become essence or Yin Jing, which rises and then comes down the Ren
channel to the testicles and ovaries and becomes Yang Jing. If you squeeze your finger tip and the
red blood does not return within 1 second, then the person has a yin Jing deficiency. If the stomach
and spleen function are not good, then you could have deficient blood production.

b. Yang Jing This is the first brick in the house. The kidneys are in charge of the storage and
distribution of Yang Jing. Stored in the testicles and ovary - enables male to create semen, female to
create egg. Pure Yang Jing is the source to create new life. If you follow nature you create life which
brings you to death. If you reverse nature (through alchemical practice) it brings you to immortality.
Yang Jing is cultivated directly through meditation and stillness. Enemy of stillness is motion.
Stillness is the key to cultivation. Without stillness Jing is leaked and eventually you run at a deficit. If
the yang Jing quality is low then the person will have menstrual problems and kidney deficiency. To
fix the body first must fix Yang Jing. Yin Jing is easy to fix through food quality. Yang Jing is harder
to fix. Quality of Jing directly affects quality of Qi.

2. Qi the essential energy of the body. It is known primarily by its action. Qi is the energy of blood
the vital force. Qi is like the general and blood is the soldier, the Qi leads the blood.

a. Pre-heaven Qi = Yuan Qi original Qi, is stored on the kidneys and it directly feeds the kidneys. If
there is no Yuan Qi you will not be born. It initially comes from the parents. Genetic diseases come
from imbalances here and come from the parents. Even these are still changeable. Through
alchemical processes it can also be made from Yang Jing. If Yuan Qi is strong then have health,
longevity, youthfulness, etc.

b. Post-heaven Qi = Zhen Qi which runs/enervates the physical organs nad maintains the post-
heaven physical condition. If the Yin and Yang Qi are balanced and work together then you have
perfect health. If not in balance then you have illness.

i. Yin Qi is associated with the yin organs (Zang): heart, lungs, spleen, kidney, liver, pericardium

ii. Yang Qi is associated with the yang bowels (Fu): small intestine, large intestine, stomach, urinary
bladder, gall bladder, triple burner

iii. Natural flow blockage results from imbalance.

c. Emotions leak Qi and motion leaks Qi.

d. Yang Qi develops increasing from birth to fullness and then decreasing until we die.

To stop leaking Qi, females in 80 days, males with 100 days of practice to regain 1 bar. Must start to
practice Tai Qi, Qi Gong, Meditation, etc.

It takes females 480 days of practice to get back to youthful (14 years of internal age). It takes males
600 days to return to 16 years of age.

Kidney has 384 Shu (measure of Yang Qi) at peak - (♂ at 16, ♀ at 14)
3. Shen - When see 1st ray of light at birth, Shen/spirit comes to body. Before that in the darkness
within darkness

a. Yuan Shen Original Spirit. Pre-birth, after birth, rises up after release attachment, material
intelligence. The higher Yuan Shen gets the easier to get into Qi gong stage. Nurtured by Yuan Qi.

b. Shi Shen Intelligent Spirit. It is activated when the baby learns to think, to smile. The more
intelligent you become the more your spiritual energy decreases. It is nurtured by post-heaven Qi.
Shi Shen intelligent Shen, gradually replaces Yuan Shen as we learn more. Includes intelligence,
ego, emotions.

c. The physical body is like a hotel. The Shen or Spirit is a guest in the hotel. The spirit seeks a
compatible body. When the physical body begins to deteriorate the you attract a lower quality spirit.
In order to feel sexy, good, and powerful must upgrade the hotel to attract a healthier Shen.

d. The Jing and Qi are like water in a fishbowl (the body), the spirit is like the fish. The better the
quality of the water, the healthier the fish.

e. To upgrade must do Qi work: conserve Jing, detach from 5 senses, conserve their use but they
must still function, nurture Shen.

f. Suppression of Original Spirit causes depression, anger and grief.

g. Yuan Shen is the administrator of the body.

h. Shi Shen runs the daytime, Yuan Shen runs the dream time. Every night the Yuan Shen tells the
body what needs to be done.

i. The Yuan Shen has no time or space concept.

The human spirit is nurtured by Jing and Qi. If the physical is not strong that disrupts the harmony
and strength of the spirit. The Jing and Qi level suffers through organ dysfunction. Organ dysfunction
is due to attachment to the 5 senses and emotions:

Let go of the emotions: let go of fear, anger, attachment, sadness; then you are virtuous to yourself.

We need to work at energetic level to restore organ function to achieve healing. Each organ is
associated with a particular emotion.

Liver anger
Stomach over thinking
Lungs grief
Heart Over joy
Kidneys Fear

If there is too much of one emotion that indicates an organ imbalance.

When healing occurs there is an upgrade of the spirit.

Attachment decreases the quality and quantity of Jing and Qi. If the essence of the body decreases,
then the spirit quality decreases.
