Learning goals:

 Cross-cultural: get the students aware of the Asian (Hong Kong) culture, geographical
location, habits
 Educational: study new and revising old vocabulary; enhance listening skills; developing
speaking skills; learning grammar; practicing ICT skills
 Communicative: discussion, expressing opinions on personal preferences; enhancing
conversational and explanatory skills; learning to collaborate and work in teams

A set of 75-minutes lessons provided at distance for grade 8. Tools used: Power Point; Google Maps;
Google Forms; DirectPoll; Flinga; YouTube; LearningApps; Kahoot.

The teacher’s role during all of the lessons turns out to be a guiding one. Mostly the teacher offers
the student the range of different activities (mostly interactive) and trusts them to complete them in
groups/pairs. The teacher’s intrusion is minimal, while the students are engaged into the activities
and carry the biggest part of responsibility for the outcome. They also collaborate while completing
