alternatives can be described as follows:

At an i=15%, which of these systems is the more economical? (15%)

2. A company manufactures a product from two plants. Plant I produce 800 units and Plant II
500 units per week .From these two plants , the product is shipped to three different ware-
houses. The requirement (unit) to three location and transportation cost are given as follows :

Ordering costs are $ 40 per order. The unit purchase price is $5.0 for lot sizes of 500 or more
units. Annual carrying costs per unit of inventory are approximately 30% of the unit purchase price.
Determine the annual cost if the ordering was done by three month Supply? (7,5%)

4.In a machine assignment problem, the constraints are found to be as follows:


2 X + 8 Y >= 80; 5 X + 2 Y >= 50; ; 3 X + 3 Y <= 66 and the objective function is
Min C = 30 X + 10 Y. Find the values of X, Y and C by using simplex method. (15 %)
