PACLOT®
SUSPENSION CONCENTRATE (SC)
PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR
PACLOBUTRAZOL 25% W/V (250 G/L)
PACLOT® is a plant growth regulator that acts by inhibiting gibberellin synthesis. The action is through roots in soil application and
through leaves and shoots in foliar application.
PACLOT® main effect is the reduction of vegetative growth. It can affect production, color, size and maturity of fruits, pruning
reduction, etc.
AUTHORIZED APPLICATIONS:
. Stone fruit trees: to reduce the size of shoots and for fruit thinning.
. Pome fruit trees: to reduce the size of shoots.
. Fermentation vine: to avoid blossom drop and to reduce the size of shoots.
PRE-HARVEST INTERVAL:
The interval between the last treatment and the harvest of the plants and the fruits for human or animal consumption and, as the
case may be, entry of livestock in treated plots.
. 60 days for all authorized crops.
DOSE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
PEACH TREE
Application only in soil
Plantations over 800 trees per hectare.
Dose per hectare:
Applied with fertilizer placement subsoiler 1-2.5 L/ha.
Applied under dripper: 0.375-1 L/ha.
Application timing:
From the stage of winter bud to one month before flowering or after harvest.
Applications only by spray
After 30 days from petals fall apply 1-1.5 L/ha. If necessary, this application should be followed by a second one at same dose,
with 15 days in-between applications.
Combined application soil and spray
If results obtained with soil application are lower than expected, it can be completed with some foliar application.
Remarks
. Apply at higher dose in high vigor varieties.
. In soil application, it can coincide with quelates.
. The fertilizer placement subsoiler of the sprayer equipment should be placed at 1-1.5 m from the line of trees, and at 5-10 cm
deep with the most preparation volume possible.
. If applications are made under drippers the dose of each tree should be diluted in a small quantity of water (250-500 cc), that
will be divided proportionally into the number of drippers on each tree, and applying in soil under the drippers, after having
watered to create small floodings.
NECTARINE TREE
Application only in soil
Plantation over 800 trees per hectare.
Dose per hectare:
Applied with fertilizer placement subsoiler: 1-1.5 L/ha. Applied under dripper: 0.250-0.500 L/ha.
Applications only by spray
Indications for peach tree are valid.
Combined application soil and spray
Indications for peach tree are valid.
APPLE (Golden and Starking varieties) and PEAR TREES
Application only in soil
Plantation over 800 trees per hectare.
Dose per hectare:
Applied with fertilizer placement subsoiler: 3-6 L/ha.
Applied under dripper: 2-3 L/ha.
Application timing:
From the stage of winter bud to one month before flowering. Also in applications after harvest.
Applications only by spray
- APPLE TREE: at the beginning of green bud apply 1-1.5 L/ha, followed by another application 15 days after petals fall and another
one, if necessary, with the same interval and dose.
- PEAR TREE: apply 1-2 L/ha from 2 weeks of total fall and repeat, if necessary, every 15 days up to maximum 3 applications.
Combined application soil and spray
If after soil application and, once the growth reduction is shown, it is necessary to make it bigger, it can be completed with a spray
application, never exceeding 6L/ha (total of both applications).
Remarks
. If application on soil, can coincide with quelates.
. Higher dose in higher vigor varieties.
. In “Blanquilla” pear trees and old plantations (over 25 years) and with low-density approx. 150 trees/ha a dose up to 20-30 cc/ft
and soil application are necessary to regulate the plant.
. The flowering and fruit set on the year after application can be strongly increased. If this happens and if considered necessary,
thinning measures should be taken.
APRICOT TREE
Application only in soil
Dose per feet:
Applied with fertilizer placement subsoiler: 4-6 cc/ft.
Applied under dripper: 2-3 cc/ft.
Application timing
30-40 days before flowering.
Spray application
If the vegetative reduction is not as desired after harvest, a foliar application can be made at a dose of 1.5 L/ha.
CHERRY TREE
Application only in soil
Plantations over 800 trees per hectare.
Dose per hectare
Applied with fertilizer placement subsoiler: 1-1.5 L/ha.
Applied under dripper: 0.25-0.75 L/ha.
Application timing
From winter bud to one month before flowering.
Application only by spraying
Apply once harvested at a dose of 1-1.5 L/ha.
Remarks
. Generally recommended only foliar applications.
. Do not treat trees under 4 years old.
GRAPEVINE (Varieties likely to be affected by drop)
Application only in spray
Dose per hectare: 0.200-0.250 L/ha
Application timing
2 weeks before flowering
Remarks
. PACLOT® applications can coincide with normal applications of Mildew or Oidium.
. In wine grapevines do not mix with triazole fungicides.
